Santana will be 32 on April 8th. Hosmer 29 on Oct. 24. Personally I don't want any FA's this year with QO's, when next year, your going to have better ones coming out. Harper, Machado, Donaldson. I still see more bang for your buck this year, not to get FA's with QO's. Starting with Nunez. You got to start thinking of the future, with a depleted Farm. You cant keep going year after year losing Picks and International pool money. You become the Old Yankees. Even they don't do that anymore. That's me though.

When I see 2 teams who have history in Baseball, Red Sox, and Cards, get ready to give more than you wanted and pay more on contract for Stanton. Almost like the Yanks and Sox. I was Jeter I would play both of these teams against each other. He might want to get rid of money, but he could also get a good return too.

Just read the Sox have $462,000 remaining in their International Bonus Pool. No chance on this kid. It places the Sox 11th out of 30 teams.

I just read that if you sign 2 QO's guys, you lose your next highest, 3rd and 6th picks, is any additional International Pool money taken off too? As of this moment if Sox sign a QO guy they lose a 2nd and 5th + $500,000, do they lose another $500,000 for an additional QO guy?

The thing about Holt is throughout his career, he has good 1st half's. Drops in 2nd half. Something to think about, with Pedey hurt in 1st half of season.

Speaking of arbitration, Holt makes 1.95 million, and will be in 2nd year arbitration. You think he gets a raise? You think if you move on from him, save the money, is good to sign Nunez? Next year Holts price goes up again, in last year of arbitration. Offset the 2 salaries, for a player, that seems to fit here, with more Power, and suited to the Park.

I'm not high on any FA's now with QO's, especially now 200 Million on Martinez. Need a Trade. Looks like FA's are using HR's to jack up the price.

If Sox sign Moustakas ( don't think he's on their radar), or Hosmer, they lose $500,000 off the pool, which makes Otani out of question for the Sox. Hope the Sox don't sign any FA's with QO's. More bang for the buck with others, starting with Nunez.

I'm putting you guys as the favorites right now to sign Otani. He wants to hit bad, and he fits right into Line-up to DH, when he doesn't pitch. Imagine that, really good Starter, and potential great bat. Imagine the money saved here. Sox don't have the opening at DH with Ramirez there, getting big bucks.

At age 20 Moustakas was playing in A+ ball. Hitting .250 like his Major League average.

Moustakas will get QO, not good enough to have penalties put on us, Machado different story.

Funny we look at walks to sign a FA, not career .251 career batting average. I would never be a good GM, I want hitters. Walks would be nice but, not my #1 priority. Especially if I'm blowing 17+ Million a year. 17+ million could be used in other areas this year, since we have a 3rd baseman for this year.
