  1. Usually I don't either, but when a Starting Caliber Major Leaguer is in his prime cant catch up to 94 MPH fastballs 3 times, that's concerning.
  2. The slow spring for JBJ is concerning because of the competition he is facing. Having struggles against the Minor Leaguers. Hancock of the Cubs blew by 3 pitches to him, totally outmatched. Hancock really? Not trying to bash him just telling it like I see it. Hasn't made 1 adjustment to his swing since his Farm Days, to cut down the swing, try to go other way. Still tries to pull everything. This is a problem, never was HR hitter. But he thinks he is.
  3. Wow 3 pitches, and out for JBJ, what's he hitting .140 for Spring.
  4. Barfield will be called up before Flores, even might be up, before Lin, who's such a weak hitter.
  5. He makes it to Boston, were in trouble.
  6. It will be interesting to see how much patience Cora will have for JBJ. Especially if he gets off to a slow start.
  7. For me hard to compare LHP to RHP. His Minor stats pretty impressive. 84 K's in 60 innings last year. Figure might struggle a bit, hell of a jump. Just have patience.
  8. Sox Scouts better get the lead out, and start developing then. Eventually this team is going to have to stop signing FA's if they want prolonged teams. FA's is dying.
  9. Red Sox Forum, and nothing said about the Bruins? Better watch out for these Boys.
  10. Don't be so sure JBJ is Starting CF in season opener. He's struggling against Single A and Double AA pitchers this Spring, this would open my eyes if I was a Manager.
  11. Poyner looking good, wonder if he goes North?
  12. E-Rod is supposed to throw 4 innings today in a Minor League Game.
  13. Trade doubt it, not with a 2.225 million salary and concussion issues.
  14. I think Marrero or Holt wont be on team on Opening Day.
  15. Put this another way, what if Hanley was a FA after this year, you think a team would sign him on a 1 year deal for 22 million? Especially after this Off-Season, and the FA's coming out next year? Even with a great season? I wouldn't.
  16. Devers can also score from 1st to home on a Double, he's more athletic than most think.
  17. Saw Devers play last year in the Minors, made sure I watched him between innings, and warm-ups, he has the hands and feet, his problem is he is young, need repetitions, to get his throwing down. He'll get better. Just needs more work. Have to have patience. Lot of times he thinks he has to make the play instead of just eating it, that's shows his immaturity. Most kids feel this way. Better than being lazy. He hits 35+ HRS, over 100 RBI's, and .300 should help. He can do it, especially in Fenway, with that swing of his.
  18. He has 115 HRS as a LHB, in that park, he could put another 20 easily. Also, makes him Trade bait for more Prospects, these are deals all GM's should make. Sometimes your not only looking at the present, but things could change as season progresses to help team in long run.
  19. As a Sox Fan I hate this deal. It was very smart, and pretty cheap too. Switch hitter who has some Power, get the kids a little more seasoning. Hate it.
  20. Year from now we will be glad Moustakas is not on this team, with Devers at 3rd. We'll have to get through some growing pains on his Defense, but it will improve. KC signed him probably to deal him during season, and get Prospects. They are rebuilding.| GM's around the league thought he was overrated for the money he was asking.
  21. Good point, and the Farm is not going to help to bring the cost down. Your Yankees have talent in the Minors, and could do it right way, and stay away from FA's, if they produce. Sox Fans don't realize the Pitching talent that coming up, this scares me. Not only your Double AA team was strong last year, but your A+ Team was evaluated as the best arms, in that class.
  22. Swihart got a nice swing. Very quick hands.
  23. Duda is HR producer, but not a run producer. HR's to RBI's ratio not good, tells me doesn't hit well with Runners on. .250 hitter at best, Hosmer has a higher ceiling. You don't like Hosmer, that's fine I do.
  24. Devers HR 20 feet up in air out in 2 seconds, that's real Power.
