  1. Bazardo was placed on IL on 5/23 with right lat strain. Is there a doctor in the house? Is this serious? Workman needs to throw strikes. He walked a batter and was hit hard twice last night, luckily one went to Xander. Really bummed about Brasier. Isn't he the one with toe issues to start and then gets hit in the head....not sure how long it'll take him to recover.
  2. Josh Taylor's monthly WHIP is 2.46 (April), 0.88 (May) and 0.67 (June). But I think you already knew that. Barnes 0.78, Whitlock 1.21, Eovaldi 1.23, Ottavino 1.29, Pivetta 1.31, Sawamura 1.32, Valdez 1.37. Just bat Dalbec 8th in the batting order and he'll be fine. lol Sox .738, Yankees .701, Houston .700. Only spot we're leading the AL.
  3. Hey Moon, I'd figure you and Kimmi have Theo's cell # on your phone. Can you talk to him? Isn't he working for major league baseball to make the game better? (just kidding about the phone #).
  4. Umpire needs help behind the plate. There were so many missed calls last night, I lost track of which team benefitted the most. Sox I thought got the better end of it. There was a pitch right down the middle that was called ball. Braves pitcher couldn't believe it. He just walked around a bit in a daze. I'm guessing there are 230 pitches thrown in any game. It's asking too much from the ump to be perfect. Last night's 9 inning game went 4 freaking hours. No way you can stay sharp for 4 hours calling balls and strikes. Need a solution.
  5. The guy that all of you worry about being overused leads the pen in innings pitched. I guess I should just be thankful that our starting five does not miss a turn. Couple of them are turning into "Opener".
  6. Latest mock draft has Leiter dropping to Sox. Do you go with a 6-1, 205 kid or pick his teammate who is 6-5, 245 lbs?
  7. This team really needs a day off.
  8. Robo Ump needed....the ump just made up calls throughout the game.
  9. Wow, after 4 hrs, you get that running blunder by a Brave. I'd be so pissed. Good for us though.
  10. You do know that our 8th batters are ranked #1 OPS in that hitting slot in AL. And Dalbec leads the way.
  11. Was it Jim Kaat of Twins who used to pitch 2 hour games?
  12. We'll be 15 games above .500 for first time this year with a win.
  13. 3 run lead....walk the first hitter.....
  14. Cora better put a pitcher in #1 spot and leave Arroyo in.....
  15. We now have 11 hits and 1 walk, When we get 12 runners on base, we're 28-3. We got this.
  16. Batting OPS AL 1st .672 13th 2nd .816 5th 3rd .918 3rd 4th .904 3rd 5th .881 3rd 6th .664 10th 7th .562 13th 8th .745 1st 9th .558 11th Look at the 8th spot. Yes we're #1 in AL. Twins come in second at .705. Bobby Dalbec has most AB among 8th hitters for Sox. His OPS is 1.156. Hunter Renfroe is next with 48 AB. His OPS is .875. Just bat Dalbec 8th and his hitting woes are solved. Can someone tell Cora? LOL.
  17. COCKROACHES....I will never forget Al Pacino saying "Cockroaches" in Scarface.
  18. Weber was 3rd in innings pitched last year. Ugh.
  19. Walk off in the 10th, White Sox defeat the Rays 8-7. A rare two game losing streak for Rays.
  20. This is the third time this season Sox is 14 games over .500. Let's push it, men.
  21. We're 28-3 when we get 12 runners on base......go Sox.
  22. Rodriguez lasted just four innings, leaving a bad taste in the mouth of manager Alex Cora. “We had a five-run lead and you saw what happened,” Cora said. “He had the bottom of the lineup and he didn’t do the job. I think, early on, he established his fastball and he did a good job. But then, he wasn’t able to execute.” Remarkably, Rodriguez now owns a 7.63 ERA (37 earned runs in 43 ⅔ innings) in nine starts dating back to May 1 and been lifted before the fifth inning in four of his last five outings. Cora has always been tough on E Rod. He doesn't baby him.
  23. Really good point....
  24. I like to think we're deeper in terms of offensive arsenal than the Rays. I just don't see any difference moving our 2-5 to 1-4 spots. None whatsoever. Perhaps Verduo, Xander, JD and Devers have all approached Cora and said no f***ing way.
