  1. I tell you what, I think Rick Porcello did his job...3 innings, kept the team alive in an elimination game...I'll take it.
  2. And tell me just how did Benni screw up? He was in a lead from 1st, and the ball was smoked by Mookie. he's thinking get to 3rd not going back to 1st. It was just dumb-luck. Moreland is the guy who has to get a giant lead...if he does, maybe he has a chance. But I think he is just so slow and frankly you have to send him anyway. Hanram keeps coming through though, and that's to take away from this.
  3. That goes down as the worst postseason inning pitched ever and NOT GIVE UP A RUN...UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE!!!
  4. The Moreland check swing was the worst call, by the 3rd base ump...bad call...and oh yeah, still the best starting performance all series done by 2016 Cy Young.
  5. there have already been famous blown calls in WS games....including a throw to first KC-STL, and a certain batter's interference by Ed Armbrister not called in the '75 for a pertinent example.
  6. Astros hitters don't f*** around...they take big swings
  7. Yes, they were close and too close, so no, yes, you have to protect the plate.
  8. The Sox have all these baserunners, and what's the bottom line? Xander hit a HR...that's how you score...and that's why the Sox offense can't be the one that we have seen all year....this get the bases loaded and then not even get a swing from JBJR and Pedey not aggressive at 2-2...it's embarrassing...
  9. You still have to protect the plate, MLB hitters don't protect the plate much
  10. no agressive swinging, complete opposite of Astros hitting
  11. you can't take that many in a row
  12. JBJ should go up there and think foul pole.
  13. Devers is Troy O'Leary but with the same power and better average.
  14. The Sox offense gave him 5-1, 6-0 leads by the 3rd inning. He was blessed with great early offense. All pitchers get in a groove when that occurs. He never fell apart in a start, which was amazing in itself. Even in this game, he is poised with not really much command and so far only 1 run.
  15. If you watch HanRam, you'll notice he is really not trying to do much...just keeping his bat lined in the zone..hence lots of base hits, not trying to hit out of the park with that big-butt, braids flying, helmet falling off swing we used to.
  16. Bst, I really believe they have no idea how to pitch to Astros hitters...it's winging it along at this point. Look at Sox pitching coach. His head is down like wondering "what the f*** can we do here? ummm, well, if we can just keep 5 of their hitters from hitting bombs...Oh f*** it, Rick, just guess."
  17. I want Leon's bat in the lineup. I'm sorry, but Sandy is swinging it well and you need all the bats you can get.
  18. Amazing that as bad as Rick is, he is still the best Sox SP all series....that was excruciating, I'l take 1-run deficit 9,027 pitches, 1 hour first 2 innings just to give up ONLY 2.
  19. Vasquez standing up, he wants fast balls up
  20. This is just sick, agreed. So hard to watch Sox SP f***ing fail every game.
  21. I called 35-pitch inning....ugh, hate being right.
