  1. The fact is that Nunez or Holt can play third with Kinsler at 2b. Devers can play, not play in the postseason. I'm not going to worry about him because he is young, which sometimes can be a benefit in a postseason game (except for Schiraldi), but he's got so many issues it seems from swinging at balls high in strike zone with 2 strikes to making throws. Sox have lots of options so it's not like you have to play him.
  2. Be nice if you knew how to spell the Sox relievers names, Jung, but whatever go worry. 7-3 Sox
  3. Johnson was terrific, and people were throwing him to the wolves in the 1st
  4. Yup got a bad feeling about Johnson and...4-3 Sox
  5. That bum Johnson better throw shutout innings...oh wait, 4 in a row...darn.
  6. Leave the bum in.
  7. soxmal is having a seizure over that walk.
  8. 2 outs, I'm frightened
  9. It's 3-2, soon to be Sox ahead. Brian Johnson was/is due for a bad start, just by odds alone, so get over it.
  10. jung, if you are worried about anything Red Sox right now, I feel bad for you, son. This is about as easy a team to watch in the history of Sox baseball. I haven't worried about anything with this team...all season.
  11. Also Toronto up 4-2 for bad feeling guy.
  12. Bad feeling? Bogaerts Triples in 2, it's 3-2 in the 1st and the team is 50 games over .500, 10-1/2 in front..bad feeling?
  13. True, forgot about Tampa and the reliever starts
  14. Tampa starter now at 25 pitches
  15. Leave the bum in
  16. I don't think it really matters, what matters is the Sox performing.
  17. Bravo Mr. Leon...says a lot about what we've been saying how important he's been behind the plate. From 108 Stitches CATCHER IS WELL-RECEIVED: The numbers really do tell the story with Sandy Leon. His 3.01 catcher ERA leads all of baseball, and since 2016 is the best in the bigs as well.
  18. Tommy Harper, bring him back.
  19. Cora barely speaks English, maybe the pitching coach and the bullpen coach can't figure out what he is saying. oh yeah, we're 50 games up over .500 and it's the greatest start by a manager over 120 games IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL HISTORY.
  20. When the Sox waived Hanley, it wasn't necessary at that time. I only bring it up because the thought of trading a GG who helps the pitching staff is silly. No way to get better by doing it. It's a loss in every respect. HanRam, the Sox got lucky overall that Pearce picked up his slack.
  21. This is retro 2000 game day thread: "If that Jimy Wocky mandatory rests Nomar today, I will go beserk!"..."You think we can get one other starter than Pedro actually get through 5 innings today???" ..."I feel sick about this series, Sox can't hit lefties."
  22. These are Sox game threads this year..."It's a pleasant day today." ... "Yes, it it is."..."Lemonade?"..."Yes, please."
  23. This year reminds me a bit of 03, but only because of the entertainment as this '18 team is simply pretty freaking awesome overall.
