  1. Betts, JD, Eavoldi, Wacha...I'm guessing the Sox would be challenging for the division title, not a game under.
  2. Which is why ripping Schwarber .175 but realizing that he hits HR, RBI and produces is stupid.
  3. I'm sorry, but again, this is where Bloom is just not very good...He gets a nice hitter (who let's face it was taking a real gamble as he never played a MLB game--think Rusney Castillo and that long ago waste of money), but he doesn't take into account there is more to baseball than just hitting...I'm happy Yoshida is one of 14 current MLB hitters above .300, but his upside in a s***** lineup is certainly knocked down by the other failing parts.
  4. History. He has been very good and certainly when he is on, he is one of the best power hitting DHs in MLB. Off season, doesn't mean he wasn't worth a 1-year extension. Also check out the current roster and other than Devers who is a power hitter? 92-year-old Justin Turner?
  5. And the anti-JD, love Turner crowd, JD is top 5 in the NL in home runs and RBI...ye of little faith.
  6. *The Red Sox not some small market team*....this is the problem with what is going on as well...they are asking fans to swallow mediocrity for way too long when if they made some smart moves they could have been a legit contender soooner than later. But hey, let's keep defending Bloom on here...apparently he is God now. HE IS IN CHARGE OF BASEBALL OPERATIONS...SO HE HAS TO TAKE THE CRITICISM THAT GOES WITH IT.
  7. Tapia got dropped after actually doing a few things...typical of Sox.
  8. True, but I'm saying the Sox have a great excuse now to just Fire Bloom--they can just use the poor judgment excuse that has fired many people in many professions over the last few years.
  9. Because Bloom is an insensitive moron. Both in baseball decisions and moral decisions...He doesn't get it, doesn't understand the timing of Dermody start...you have to be a moron to not realize the backlash comes whether Dermody threw a no hitter or got bombed. Further, you are a bigger moron for backing down to the wok crowd, and then explaining himself that it's a baseball decision. So he lied. Let's defend him by signing him, then throw the guy under a bus during Pride Week...unbelievable.
  10. To use Bloom's own words on Dermody..."It was a baseball decision." Well, fire Bloom for that alone, Sox
  11. Let Wokism be Bloom's demise anyway. Apropro
  12. On Dermody, if his history is of all these tweets, then that makes Bloom even more of an idiot. The Bruins signed a kid who committed an unspeakable act as a teen by putting a disabled kid head into a toilet and took the backlash and then released him 2 days later. Well, Bloom gets a free pass on this? Nope. This is one of the easiest firings ever. No one will cry for Bloom if he is fired today. Not a single person, but his family.
  13. Actually, true, really good point.
  14. You just made my case to Fire Bloom.
  15. It's not Dermody, it's the situation. The timing. Think about it. Why would you even bother to throw a journeyman (emergency or not) during "Pride Month"....this is like throwing a grenade from your trench and having it hit the top of the trench bounce back and blow you up.
  16. The Matt Dermody debacle is a good reason to fire Bloom now...look, he did the right thing and didn't let a stupid religious tweet (deleted, told to Bloom and explained and then took sensitivity training) get in the way of signing a guy...promotes him, so he starts him during Pride Week (this is on Bloom btw, not anyone else), then releases him the same night...this is the height of pussydom for Bloom and in all honesty doing the right thing, not standing by doing the right thing, giving in because we aren't allowed to apologize for mistakes anymore--cancelled! Then Bloom put Dermody in the worst case scenario, then designates him for assignment....Kluber meanwhile gives up 8 straight hits in relief...how bout just RELEASING HIS ASS, BLOOM! Fire BLOOM! Says it was a baseball move to drop him....bull to the s***.
  17. This 2003 edition is brutal....500 and on its way to .475
  18. Saying that for years..he "saddled" Sox with Manny, what a great signing, completely worth the entire 160 mil.
  19. THIS IS THE HEIGHT OF HOW BAD THE SOX ARE RIGHT NOW....Cora now telling us you can't bring up hot hitters or it might impede on the hitting of poor hitters. Nice. The corner infielder is 26 of 67 (.388) with 10 home runs and 20 RBIs in his last 18 games for Triple A Worcester. In all, Dalbec is hitting .306 with a 1.081 OPS in 41 games for the WooSox. But the Sox don’t see a roster spot for him, even with first baseman Triston Casas hitting .191 with a .677 OPS through 51 games. “Where we’re at roster-wise, this is who we have,” manager Alex Cora said Sunday. “We’re glad that he’s going well, not only hitting for power but hitting for average. But obviously roster-wise right now, this is who we have.” ==================== So it's better to keep the .191 hitter who needs to go to the minors over the up-and-down Dalbec, who seems to have found his stroke again. I see, okay, don't want someone who might help the offense. Got it.
  20. What's amazing is a few posters in here will defend every Bloom move and accept the losing, the s***** SP, the s***** defense, the lack of a star power, and the just complete gutting of a winning franchise. We are an all-time joke now. Every time the Sox win a game v. Tampa, Yankees, going back last few seasons, it almost is always followed by loss the very next day. It's because mediocre .500 teams operate that way.
  21. Come on, Bloom has made one bad decision or call after another. He has continually not only made the wrong move, he has no concept of how important certain guys are to the clubhouse and to the morale of the team. He gutted the morale guys from roster. All of them--the last Eavoldi of that bunch. He behaves like a guy who doesn't understand intangibles to winning baseball.
  22. yes, sarcasm.
  23. yeah, good point, he went hard for Kluber...great job!
  24. *Here's a Story...about a s***** signing*
