Can't put Bruce Lee on there. It took him too long to beat up Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and even then only by exposing his blindness to sunlight. No martial arts expert should struggle like that with a basketball player. Do you want to see Jason Statham fight to a draw with Chris Paul? And then only beat Paul by taking advantage of his peanut allergy? I didn't think so...

Here's the thing If you move Betts to 2B and Martinez to OF, and Pearce to a 1B platoon, you have 3 options for DH. !. Holt 2. Nunez 3. Swihart Putting Holt or Nunez at DH means you have decided to make the infield and outfield defense weaker with the exact same players in the lineup.. Putting Swihart at DH means the Sox have weakened the defense and benched Holt/Nunez in order to get more at-bats for Swihart. The only way it remotely makes sense is to put Pearce at full time DH, but even then the upgrade simply isn't worth it. I'm not seeing the logic at all...

Let's be honest. They removed the home field advantage aspect from the All Star game. As far as I am concermed, a sac bunt skills compeition would be fine after that massive and much-needed fix. Whatever they do is gong to get overblown anyway, since the day before and the day after the All Star game are the only 2 days of the year with no actual sports to cover...

God I hope youre joking. You just advocated for replacing the home run derby with two people playing catch. I like defense, but if it ever comes down to drills like that, just replace the home run derby with a few episodes of “The Rockford Files” and call it a day...

Right now the Sox need warm bodies after Sale, Price and Pocello. Shields is looking better everyday Unless people have a lot of faith in Johnson and Beeks for the second half. (And what do we do if one of them gets hurt?)

Right. Dombrowski should just fill out the forms and in the box next to “Quality Starting Pitcher”, just fill in a “1”. Or, if he’s feeling desperate, a “2”. The problem with your sentiment is that the Sox don’t have the chips to trade for a good starting pitcher, and haven’t had them for a long time. Getting what you want for the rotation is nearly impossible. So if they can’t get a guarantee, you suggest they stand pat?
