White’s speed is 99th percentile per StatCast, and his arm strength is 78th percentile. Both are impressive. But if I’m Nate Eaton down in Worcester - basically the same speed with a stronger arm - my first thought “Hey! What the f***!?! Still here!”

Deeply mixed emotions. I think Rutschman and Miller cost a big chunk of this organization. But more important, the Sox should be better tomorrow than they were yesterday, and got that way while keeping Arias, who needs to be promoted ASAP.

Not sure, but it doesn’t matter. Walk issues are the only thing that keeps Miller from being among the best LHRP in MLB. Actually they keep him from ranking higher; he is among the best LHRP. I don’t like giving up Mayer there, but Miller is no slouch. His option status is irrelevant. I think he either pushes Weissert to Worcester or spells Bennett with Bello moving back to the rotation or going long after an opener…

The Sox didn’t trade Narvaez to get Connor Wong into the lineup more often. Once he is healthy, expect Rutschman to get behind the plate…

Uberstine gave them pitching depth with options. White I think has no options, cannot hit very well, and is probably the lesser 4th outfielder than Jones. White can back up CF, although in his career it has not been his primary position and he’s probably less than Duran out there. If the Sox needed another bench outfielder, Braiden Ward maked more sense because at least he can be an elite pinch/ghost runner…

Not that Uberstine was much, but he was at least an arm to snag a few innings. White is a .620OPS guy either way even splits and no options (confirm? Anyone?), meaning someone (Romy?) gets pushed off the active roster. With Jahmai Jones doing very well vs LHP, what does White give the Sox except maybe some innings in CF? Without Uberstine, the Sox have no RHP on the 40 man roster that are not on the active roster. And only 4 pitchers in the minors on the 40 man (Rivera, Gamboa, Samaniego and La Sorsa), all of whom are left-handed …

Yes, unless you count giving up Connelly Early for Mead. The Sox unloaded their 2,3 and 4 ranked prospects (removing Jake Bennett from the list). But only Eyanson held his ranking on the most recent lists.
