  1. I think it’s more of a catharthis, but I think it gets a little overboard at times…
  2. So hits are not actual results. Our pitching staff will be relieved…
  3. That’s why my LG speakers only play K-Pop!!
  4. It was their last movie. Costello’s last line was “HEEEEEEY. ABB…!!!” Thud…
  5. We do face both Fried and Rodon, so he was only going to start two games…
  6. Lowe can play first, too…
  7. How about “Abbot and Costello Meet The Guillotine” instead?
  8. That’s a fail. All I read was Crochet…
  9. I figured some channel somewhere was streaming a Savoir Faire marathon…
  10. Non. Mon fauteuil est plein du fromage. Navets! Grenouilles!!
  11. The Sox bullpen does lead the American League in ERA, even with Hicks.
  12. Whats with all the French posts today?
  13. Gleyber Torres? Brandon Lowe?
  14. C'est des temps comme ça, j'aimerais avoir prêté plus d'attention en cours de français.
  15. Have faith, young man. You’re making him sound like Garrett Crochet…
  16. Unless Henry contributes, it’s not likely…
  17. I don’t see the Sox adding that many barring trades (Duran is presumably traded). Dont forget there is no Injured List in the off-season, so players like Houck, Dobbins, and Mayer who are presently injured and (in the case of Houck) likely to miss 2026 still count towards the 40 man limit. Plus the Rule 5 eligible players can get added - Sandlin most definitely and Castro very likely. Mullins possibly. Bleis? Doubtfu. Maybe 1-2 more in didnt mention? So even after the Fungibles (Eaton, Toro, and Sogard) get dumped and decisions are made on Criswell (keep), Hamilton and Grissom (DFA?), and Lowe (non-tender), there might be maybe 3-4 spots open…
  18. Sandoval might be the #2 starter if he’s healthy. Don’t sell him short…
  19. I am no Cora fan. Hes better than, say, Kevin “the wins are on me, the losses are on them” Kennedy or Bobby Valentine. But I think he leaves room for improvement. Not anyone would be an improvement over Cora. Hes far from the worst we’ve seen. If they ever did replace him, who makes sense to take over? Because much like with the very unpopular John Henry, I think we would find it’s easier to step down than step up…
  20. If the in-house players fill the voids, why not? I do agree Casas has more questions than answers. While talent might not be his issue, durability most definitely is. His injuries always occur during the most mundane baseball activities. Even Sale at least had the occasional “that would have taken anyone out” moment amidst his exposed frailties…
  21. Well The Sox have extended Crochet, Campbell, Bello, Rafaela and Roman Anthony, all recently. Plus signed Bregman and Chapman. Just because they are not going stupid in the free agent market does not mean they are not spending…
  22. How much did they used to practice it vs now? If you discount attempts made by NL pitchers, is there really that much drop in bunting? Also I think fans lump all bunts together. There is a difference between sac bunting and bunting for a base hit. Bunting to the 2b, for example, is more often done to get on base…
  23. I think the big problem with bunting is fans think it’s really easy to do. Just bunt the ball towards first or second? Even the best bungees struggle with placement on occasion. Saying “just bunt it to second” is like saying “just hit it off the wall.” Most bunts towards second (the ideal place for a bunt) don’t get past the pitcher. And that’s the whole goal - to get it past the pitcher. Because if the pitcher does field it, he may have several options for an easy out…
