  1. Let’s skip the posts wher I just say “No.” And you comment about conversation. Here are some issues 1. Campbell on the bench. He wasn’t signed for 8 years to be a bench player. 2. Why extend Lowe when he is controlled for another year? Washington didnt DFA him for being overly talented. No need to rush here and give away other players to accommodate a player that just got released by a horrible team. 3. Trades are best used for acquiring, not unloading. The premature contract for Lowe was likely to get him at a discounted price, a feat that is negated and then some by paying Yoshida to play elsewhere. Not to mention giving away all your trade assets to then buy pitching. 4. Replacing Yoshida with an outfield rotation in itself is a bad idea, considering two of those outfielders cannot hit lefties. It would be much easier to simply trade Duran and Casas for pitching…
  2. Actually Cora is the analytics department. It’s a really big part of why he was hired…

  4. My Cubs fan daughter think he is a lock for AL Comeback Player of the Year. Bo Bichette might have a better argument …
  5. Seriously? His addiction to platoons without regards for players splits seems to be enough, but then it can get coupled with his occasional prioritization of platoon bats over defense. Is having Nate Eaton in the OF an advantage or disadvantage over just playing Lowe at 1b?
  6. Nate Eaton was the DH, so Ghost in the 5 hole makes some sense. Cora’s lineups vs LHP are looking really questionable lately..
  7. Last time we got our 1b from the Nats mid-season, we made it to the ALCS…
  8. If you look at their careers, I’d much rather the Sox have Lowe than Casas going forward. But the estimated $9-10mill difference in salary will likely play a bigger part than I prefer…
  9. Small point, but I think .125 thousandths would be .000125 or 125 millionths…
  10. Criswell is injured…
  11. BTV accepts Nayer, Rafaela and K Campbell for Skenes as well. And if Pittsburgh would accept it, it would be worth doing. But I stand by my opinion that any trade for Skenes has to include Anthony. I just don’t see Pitt biting if he’s not included…
  12. Eaton at DH is kind of a bad joke. Eaton has several baseball skills, notably throwing and base-running, but his biggest weakness has always been hitting. So Cora puts him in a position that involves just hitting. Just being right-handed is not enough here. If Fried struggled against fungible righties, he wouldn’t be in MLB..
  13. So he’s just Word now? His nickname has a nickname? Im trying to push Ghost. It’s just a cooler nickname. Ghost Garcia. Thats some serious rock star stuff right there…
  14. I don’t think equating two anonymous Internet forum monikers counts as doxxing. But then bear in mind that last sentence was the first time I ever used the word “doxxing”, and this sentence is the second. So what do I know? I’m not even sure I spelled it right, let alone used it properly…
  15. “Here lies Fred. 1960-2050. Annoyed to Death by Red Sox management” I let him turn 90 (actually 89, just two weeks shy of his birthday) so he can’t be too annoyed by his tombstone jokes…
  16. You accept email from Yankee fans!?! Let me guess - your friends and family plan also includes Darth Vader and Hannibal Lector…
  17. One Golden Sombrero and he will modify the name to Jhostinkson. You are correct…
  18. One of us. One of us. One of us. Also that nickname is too reminiscent of Joey Gallo…
  19. Well, you can only ADD seven tiles. At least one has to already be on the board. KISS. Just “Scrabble” works…
  20. That’s so American - just give him an easier name. All about making it easier for everyone and screw him. One of us. One of us. One of us…
  21. Another good one is “Eyechart”, but it was already (and appropriately) used on Doug Gwosdz…
