    Catchers can’t play 162 games anyway. Most teams just use their backup catcher for one particular starting pitcher because it keeps some consistency and it gives the regular catcher a regularly scheduled day free from squatting for 90 minutes…

    I’ve posted my top 4 numerous times in the past 6 weeks. And no matter what happens, I am NOT changing them, despite how questionable they have always looked. I had 1. Leiter 2. Lawler 3. Davis 4. Rocker Of course, now Marcelo Mayer, in an obvious attempt to discredit me, has come out with some underslot demands to increase his already lofty appeal. Too bad, Marcelo!!     Cordero’s limited playing time has been a combination of injuries and a lot of competition in a crowded San Diego outfield. Also, if Dalbec has promise, Cordero is only 9 months older. Franchy probably isn’t the answer at 1b, but the main reason the Sox might give him a try is simple - he’s already here…
