    CB does okay on the bases; he’s a disaster on the plate. Angel sucks at all aspects of umpiring; he’s in a class by himself.

    Assuming that Bloom has a five year contract (do we really know?), he either has to go soon (now or just after the season ends) or he has to be extended. He cannot be allowed to be the CBO as a lame duck. He could wreak all sorts of havoc in that status.

    Looked it up in Baseball Reference. It was a make-up game from a rainout on May 24th. But Speir messed this up; BR has the game listed as being in Yankee Stadium.

    Give it up max, he will never acknowledge that someone else might have a valid point. You know what I don’t understand? Why iortiz is posting here instead of managing a major league team. I’m still blaming OB for mentioning the Yankees were having trouble scoring runs.

    Like I said, this loss is on the offense. Once again, several opportunities to score runs, couldn’t do it. Yankees had exactly one, and they cashed it in.

    If you meant lots of games have been won when scoring 2 runs, I can only respond lots more have been lost when scoring only 2 runs.

    Whatever. If the Sox lose this one, it’s on the offense. One run on Raffy’s homer and gifted the other on a wild pitch. Two runs does not win many games, no matter who your pitcher is.

    Right, because in the span of 2 pitches (after the HBP, Higashioka singled on an 0-1 pitch), a reliever was supposed to get warmed up.

    Definitely. Either Schreiber or Whitlock for the 7th, depending on the matchups and how the hitters have done on those guys (data Cora has and we don’t) Edit - Llovera back out. Mistake in my mind, but we pretty much are in try out mode at this point, so who knows. IMO, if Bloom is retained, it would not shock me to see Cora resign; they are definitely not on the same page.

    You don’t post and run. If asked a question, you usually answer it and you do it often enough that if you don’t answer, I figure you just didn’t see it.

    I know it’s garbage, but OB’s announcers curse works again for the opposition. He blabbed something about the Yankees having trouble scoring runs and immediately they put up a 3 spot.
