    Yep, but should have been out of the inning allowing only 1 run at most (and probably none); New York screwed the pooch on the review.

    Well, the first hit wasn’t exactly roped. It wasn’t even a hit. But the last two hitters have nailed the ball. Edit - 3 hitters Edit - 4 hitters New York costs the Sox at least 2 runs with that bad review call.

    Bello seems to have a lot of trouble pitching out of the stretch. And that pick by Smith is why just putting anyone over there is a dumb idea.

    Yep, but it could have been a cumulative thing as well. Between 1999 and 2004, he made at least 65 appearances every year and was over 70 four times. Obviously with the post season, he was over 80 in 2004. That’s a lot of games and innings.

    That he would, but Rohr was given a “Great Red Sox Moment” award; he wasn’t inducted into their HOF.

    I don’t think so. He barely meets the minimum criteria of playing for the Sox for 3 years (he played 3 seasons in Boston). He was awesome in 2004 but 2005 and 2006 were decidedly mediocre (to be charitable). I think HoF players need to be good for several years, not just one.
