  1. Bogie has looked lost for about 2+ months. He is doing a marvelous impersonation of 1st half 2014 Bogaerts without a clue how to lay off a down and away breaking pitch. to borrow from A League of Their Own, can't hit 'em, can't lay off em.
  2. Pretty sure he got the win; Bauer didn't go long enough to qualify.
  3. Worst thing is he almost always takes strike 1 which is almost always a fastball.
  4. At this point I would almost rather see Bogaerts take strike 3 on a breaking pitch tha see him flair at aanother one in the dirt.
  5. What's the deal on balls hit to right?
  6. There was one of only 2 ways it could go.
  7. Need the 2 3 4 5 hitters to do something this inning.
  8. Two more "strikes" that have called on Sox hitters and not on Tribe batters.
  9. He was traded to the Orioles for a kid named Eduardo Rodriguez.
  10. Plus with Miller going this long is they won't see him tomorrow.
  11. if you cry gloom and doom often enough, you will eventually be right. You must have been a joy to be around for 3.9 games in the 2004 ALCS.
  12. Another classy post from you. Is your constant preoccupation with sex due to your lack of occupation with sex?
  13. He's given Indian's pitchers that pitch all night, Sox pitchers haven't gotten it at all. I don't care if you call it or don't call it but be consistent and call it both ways.
  14. Now you are just being a jerk.
  15. 2 hits off Pomerania and neither hit particularly well.
  16. Would have been better if the ball had been hit harder. Perfect speed and location to get through and not hard enough to give JBJ a decent chance.
  17. And it cost them a run.
  18. Do you ph for Holt here? With 2 out and this early, I don't.
  19. Porcello and Bauer do not seem to be working with the same strike zone. Bauer is getting a lot of corners, Porcello is not getting those same spots.
  20. Be it this series or next year, if Bogaerts doesn't learn to lay off that breaking ball down and away he's going to have a career of how he hit in August and September
  21. No curve tonight and he hasn't been getting the call when he does get the ball down. Bauer has gotten 3-4 strikes outside the zone as well.
  22. Hard to say. Is MLB as anal about that sort of thing as the NFL? That's a rhetorical. NOBODY is as anal about that sort of thing as the NFL.
  23. No real surprises. No Robbie Scott might be a mild one, but 6 innings pitched in September isn't much of a showcase. Can't really argue with the guys they took. Vazquez as the second catcher might be the other minor surprise, but really, once Leon seized the starting gig, none of the back-ups did anything worth a darn all season, so it's as good a choice as any.
  24. I just saw a great description of the Giants on another forum: the Giants in the postseason are like cockroaches in a nuclear war. They always find a way to survive.
  25. I have the opposite view on Pedey this season; this was the first time in 3-4 years he wasn't injured and it showed. Will his performance go down next year? Probably, but I think that will be due to 2016 being almost a career year for him and it's hard to have those back to back. And his age isn't going to help in that regard. He's right at the point where guys usually start seeing declines. Now, you are totally correct in that he tries to play through things he probably shouldn't. At least until now, he has been the classic case of an athlete unable to distinguish between being hurt and being injured. Maybe he has learned that lesson finally.
