  1. Didn’t care about the swing, but it was a bad swing.
  2. Hardly the only one tonight. You really are prefictable, just like “rain in Seattle”.
  3. Like I said, these clowns judge plays by results.
  4. Then how come you didn’t predict it before it happened then?
  5. JD never should have tried for second there; dumb play.
  6. Who both promptly struck out.
  7. Exactly, plus Severino is dealing. He's going to be tough to score on tonight. These clowns judge by results only. If he makes it, they would be crwoing about his hustle (well, not all of them).
  8. Being held back from what? They are on pace to win 119 games, which would only be the most ever. Whether they replace one or both catchers and/or JBJ, they aren't going to win 119 games this year. 100 would be fantastic, 95 is more realistic. What do you replace them with and how do you obtain said replacement? Swihart ain't it; if he were, he's be catching a whole lot more than he has.
  9. They were entertaining. Now they have gone beyond the ridiculous to the sublime. I swear he'd find something to complain about a Sox pitcher if said pitcher threw a perfect game. If he retired 27 batters on 27 pitches, Natick would complain about not enough strikeouts. If it was 27 Ks on 82 pitches, he'd complain about the one ball the guy threw.
  10. I do remember it, and thanks for reminding me:mad:
  11. He did catch 1 inning last night, but your overall point holds.
  12. Unless he figures into their plans for 2019. Leon makes nearly 2 million and is arb eligible next season. That 2 isn't going to go down. Swihart is at or near the MLB minimum, and while he is arb eligible as well next year, he isn't going to go up that much. If he does fit into next year's picture, then he's almost like a Rule V guy this season, he has to stay on the roster.
  13. It's one of the reasons I scoff at people who seem to think that is easy for players to change position instantaneously.
  14. It is a thought. Just have to weigh the pros and cons.
  15. Probably a good idea, though it is sometimes amusing to poke fun at his constant negativity. More fun when he does it when the Sox are winning though.
  16. Brilliant. You reply to a guy who won't see your response.
  17. That was a reply to a post about bringing fresh arms from Pawtucket. The origianl was deleted. It's a reasonable question.
  18. Frankly, he pitched pretty well in the postseason lst year, especially for having been on the shelf most of it. That's probably about it really, although I'm sure threre have been a few games here and there.
  19. Only needed to be said once.
  20. Not much. But it doesn't change my point about your posts.
  21. Who are you getting rid of/sending down?
  22. I wonder when you will ever post a positive comment about anything.
  23. Not surprised at Price tonight; he has always stuggled in Arlington. Coming into tonight, his career numbers are 4-2 (somehow) in 8 games with a 6.53 ERA and 1.675 WHIP over 40 innings. No other park that he has pitched in more than a couple times comes close (Yankee Stadium at 8-6, 4.27, 1.441 is second).
  24. He's not worthless, he's worthless at that contract. If they release him, he almost certainly will sign with another team for the minimum (he's worth a shot at that price for any team). The Sox would be on the hook for the difference, and if he's on a 40 man, that portion of the contract would count towards the Sox luxury tax calculation. Right now, he doesn't.
