    Not hitting against Snell is somewhat understandable; he did win the Cy Young last year. It’s the persistent non-hitting against the Yarboroughs of the baseball world that is the real issue.

    They’re pressing; everyone’s trying to hit 5 run homers.

    They have a good club. The Rays played over .600 ball the second half last year and have continued that this season so far.

    He could do that but unless some offense shows up it may not matter. If you have to have your starter throw a shutout to win, you are in trouble.

    That’s a good observation. All I’ll say is Taylor would have been better served if a couple of guys had hit the ball a little harder and given Bradley or Betts a shot at actually catching them. OTOH, if he fields the bunt he may have gotten out of it with 1 run scoring.

    You are waaay overthinking the affect. JBJ has done this every year of his career. Why didn’t it affect the team any other year.
