  1. Probably too many pitches for that. He’s nearing 90 which probably means one more inning.
  2. Tale of sides of the plate for Lynn today: Righties are 1-12 with Chavis’ 55 footer bring the only hit. The lefties are 5-8 with a walk including 2 doubles and a pair of triples. EDIT- numbers through 5 innings
  3. Out. Poor throw just happens to go to a perfect spot. Sums up the way both teams are going right now
  4. Moon, that end of June "vacation" includes flying back and forth across the pond for those 2 games in London. Not your traditional days off.
  5. Maybe for the Home Run Derby, although I don’t think his control is good enough for that.
  6. Price, Bogaerts and Devers should be the ONLY ones under consideration at this point.
  7. You should read his deep commentary in the Chavis and The Pen threads. Although it will be 20 seconds of your life you won’t get back.
  8. Bogaerts, Sale, Price and Vazquez can show up; the rest uh uh.
  9. Penetrating insight.
  10. You truly do possess hindsight.
  11. They are 1 1/2 games out of a playoff spot; what do you expect him to say?
  12. Looking very much like 2017 Mookie however. He’s been very much in alternating mortal-immortal years.
  13. Well, if a reliever’s going to have a bad day, better in a game like this.
  14. Not hitting against Snell is somewhat understandable; he did win the Cy Young last year. It’s the persistent non-hitting against the Yarboroughs of the baseball world that is the real issue.
  15. They’re pressing; everyone’s trying to hit 5 run homers.
  16. They have a good club. The Rays played over .600 ball the second half last year and have continued that this season so far.
  17. Right now so has the 1 out hit and the no out hit, at least with men on base.
  18. He could do that but unless some offense shows up it may not matter. If you have to have your starter throw a shutout to win, you are in trouble.
  19. That’s a good observation. All I’ll say is Taylor would have been better served if a couple of guys had hit the ball a little harder and given Bradley or Betts a shot at actually catching them. OTOH, if he fields the bunt he may have gotten out of it with 1 run scoring.
  20. To be fair, 3 of these hits have not exactly been roped.
  21. You are waaay overthinking the affect. JBJ has done this every year of his career. Why didn’t it affect the team any other year.
  22. He’s got a great gig in the front office; why would he want to put up with all the BS that comes with managing?
