  1. I've loved his swing and approach from his first AB, Hands steady until the ball is well on its way. Head as steady as any pro golfer you'll see. Wait, wait wait-quick, quick, quick. His approach is natural because under neath the 20 year old shyness, he KNOWS HE CAN HIT! Only TW had that kind of confidence that early. (I wondr why?)
  2. If they didn't recognize the difference between night and day, I wonder if they are still working for the Sox. If you can't spot that sort of difference in 4 minutes you should find another job.
  3. The more I see of that quiet, quick, bat the less I worry about his glove. (Which, by the way, seems to be just fine). Didn't the greatest hitter of all time stink as a left fielder? This kid looks like the Sox (and maybe the league) MVP by 2020---if not before. 20 years old!!! Anybody check the kid's birth certificate?
  4. I think a new Decers thread should be started. Wade through seceral pages of piddor paddy and see very little about the next Red Sox MVP. Doesn't anybody see what I see?
  5. Thanks, never thought of it! I would be surprised if it was not Nunez, exclusively, in the near future. That would rate an A don;t you think? If it continues Hanley/Moreland, I'd give that no better than a B. I'd also call it "temporary"
  6. Mid-term Needs Assessment Not brain surgery skills needed, just good eyesight. C. A. No help needed 1B C Old and un-reliable 2b B-getting old SS C badley over rated 3B A Set for a long time (2 rookies) LF B One OK for future, one too old CF A no help needed here RF A no help needed here SP B DL a problem RP A to D help needed
  7. Most stupid post I've seen this season!
  8. I've side it before and I'll say it again. There's more of an issue with Bogaerts than an a bad finger!
  9. Does JF ever consider a player's BH w/ Runners on? (or in scoring postuu=ion? If he does WHT THE HELL IS HANLEY HITTING 4TH? He should be 9th, (and the devers up around 5 oor 6!?
  10. For many, many, days. Began with sloppyfielding. Especiall nonchalant throws. That's why Linn should be playing SS these days. And while were at, it, why doesn't JF put his 3 best hitters in the 3, 4, 5 slots. Betts, Bradley, Pedroia. What order? Who cares!
  11. My kind of lineup. Nunez (DH), Devers moves up where he belongs.
  12. My guess? DH My guess is that Hanly and Xander need a lot of TLC, and will not contribute much this year./ Both Devers and Lin belong in that infield!
  13. Since this thread has turned into a SS thread, what about Lin? He is is 8 for 27 since returning to Pawtucket *6 games, 3 were multi-hit. Je is fast, plays all 3 IF positions (as far as we know) and is a natural SS. Is it written in stone that Bogarts can't be traded? We're certainly talking "power" here. Just BA and fielding. Morrero? Trade him too! Devers at 3rd. Lin at SS and let's go! (And most pitchers are RH!)
  14. Funny how this thread switched to Bogaerts (from Devers) before the HR bal was even signed. I have been concerned about Bogaerts even when he was hitting .30. And I'm not sure the hand injury is the reason for the ild swings in the dirt, a foot outside. My immediate concern is, May there be a non-uniform problem?
  15. I don't know which is worse, 1)TheMLB feed (NESN), 2) the two Sox announcers, or 3 The ******** I'm readomg here! As soon as Devers gets his ML hit, I'm on to WEEI!
  16. Yep. Right in the 9 spot. The kid'll be a nervous wreck by the time he gets to the plate/ Good, old JF imagination!
  17. I' wondering where JF will place him in the batting order. I'm afraid JF's lack of imagination (and, somethines, common sense will see him hitting ninth. Gog, I hope not. That's all the kid needs: more pressure while withing around. I'd hit him right behind JBJ. On deck, he's watching how this guy pitches a good left handed hitter. Not thinking about whether he strike out, or not. Good luck kid! Mel Ott did it; so can you!
  18. Maybe a defensive replacement when appropriate?
  19. Mell Ott was in his second full season when he hit. 328 with 42 HR! And, oh, yes; he had 152 RBIs AT AGE 2-! Go, Kid, GO!
  20. well, th-tha-that's all for me folks! The NESN feed is the worst onMLB.com. But now even Joe C. is getting bored. TheTV crew will put me to sleep at any rate. So I guess I'll join the Red Sox bats!
  21. I hope this is not de jevu (Moncada) Maybe the get him 60 , or so, plate appearances, and see how he compares with what Lin was doing. If so, he'll be it for a long time. Anxious to see him!
  22. I guess I can last a few innings!
  23. Anybody remember Ric Hill Now they play Holt and Marrero daily. and shi[ Lin th the sticks. Is this Farrell or DD. Or both?
  24. Is this curtains for Fister> He has nothing!
  25. What's the weather up there? Game going to get in?
