    Doesn't the buck stop with John Farrell? His calm, intellectual, approach is not working. Bring back Big Papi! Give hime the reins! Get some excitement going! We need a leader here, not an English professor. Give David the job and watch the energy!

    I;ve lived in Ft Myers for the better part of the last part of the last 40 years. "Getting the Games" for much of that time has been tricky. Then along came xtraInnings. And Comcast, and a $150-$180 TV/Internet bill every month. No more! I am in a beautiful, active, Senior Living facility EQUIPPED WITH WI-FU. Goodbye Comcast! Goodbye to the new and s***** ESPN programming! Last night I was forced to merely listening to the WEEI programming on MLB.co (because it eas on ESPN and not live streaming on the internet. I listened to the best broadcaster I have heard sinc Vince Scully! This guy actually gave is the balls and strikes call. He even told us who was coming to the plate. Now I have to figure out a way to 1) watch the game on BLB, and 2) listen to the Sox radio broadcasters---the best since Foy and Gowdy!

    I stand corrected. My stat site says 54 p;ate appearances, 45 AB and .415OBP. That's just about enough for me. I depend on my eyes more than stats. The OBP is particulary impressive. He has a hell of an eye!

    I think this run;ess streak has JF talking to himself. Pedroia should have hit for Leon; not for Lin. Whos has an OBP of over .400 (88 ABs is enough for me to make that choice) I think Farrell has to go. Oh, where are you Leo Duroche! (Or Casey Stengal!)

    My guess is that JFcreates about as much excitement in the clubhouse (or bench) as he might at a wake. Papi comes, laughs and jokes, hugs everyone in sight and the Sox get, what was it, 9 runs? Add to that his benching of his two (current) best RH hitters against a 90 year old left hander. JOHN, THESE GUYS JUST HAD 4 f***ING DAYS OF!

    Prior to today's game, Lin has had 88 AB, is hitting .318, has played a great 3B and has an OBP of ,415. And our announcers are looking forward to Holt' return because 3B is one of his best position! Are the KIDDING or what!!!

    Forget Panda. We have a VG 3rd baseman right now in LIN. Behind him, doesn't thiss kid Devers also play third? I can't help thinking about the ballyhood Moncada, and the unknown AA kid,Lin. Lin is now showing us why he was called up so early. Time to lead-off with him. Put Mookie down here 6,7 or so. Take the enormious pressure he's been under.

    I just watched three of the many 'Ted Williams Hitting Instruction" videos. All pretty much the same, showing some of the same clips. But three things stand out: 1, Steady head 2. WAIT 3. QUICK 4 And the one Mookie needs to watch: STEADY BAT. No waving, no twirling. Slight movement at the right time. C'mon, Mook!

    Very, very, VERY seldom does a player with minimal pro experience, come out of QQ ball and (with over 50 at-bats) hit like this kid. At this stage of his career, he projects, in my mind, to about the same level as Mookie.Think back to what we saw with a much more experienced player (Moncada). Ever see a biiger difference? I think Marrero should play some of the games at 3B. Against some lefties, that is. But on a regular basis, the Sox have fallen into a regular, long term, 3rd baseman. I agree re/Mookie. He is trying to be the prototypical lead off hitter, abd on matter what at bat is taking too many "strike-ones". Once he gets out of the habit of swinging his bat around like it's flag day, he can be spotted anywhere. Bogaerts no more belongs in the 4 spot than I do!

    If I may be allowed a belated 'IF'. Had Lin been almost anywhere in the lineup except where he was, the ball would have been turned over to the closer and holding at least a one run lead---probably more. Something can be sid for left-righ-left lineups, but JF is carrying it to extremes, Lin has proven he needs to be up somewhere he can join in the fun with Pedroia, Bradley, Betts, and Bennie. NOT sittin behind the catcher!

    Good news, Bad news: getting to Archer. Good swings, sometough luck. Bad news: Archer will be out of there soon, and the Rays have a super bullpen

    We have replaced one 'Napoli' with another. Couldn't Bradley have had a "day off" and still be the DH? That was about as disgusting 9th inning as we'll see (I hope) all year.

    I guess we have won close games this year when Mookie wasn't in the mix---but I can't remember them.

    Only a 2 1/2hr drive from my home in Ft. Myers. My wife and I drove up there once for a Sox-Rays game. That was enough. BTW. Anyone want to make a guess as to when Lin takes over 3rd, full time?

    I can't see trading anybody at this point. I don't see the need for a RH pitcher. Especially at this time of year. and I see no need to move away from the LH-RH 3rd base (Lin-Marro) combo asit now stands. Who ever heard of a good, lafet handed,hitting 3rd baseman? Rejoice!So he's 5-9 and weighs 145 lbs? Big deal. He fields the position well and hits line drives. 'nuff sed!
