    ERA and ERA+ are not good stats for RP'ers who often only need to get one or two outs in an inning they enter. His .723 OPS against and 1.26 WHIP are far from bad, but not very good either. Career .693 is not bad at all.

    People are talking platoons when Story returns. Here are some OPS splits: v R/ v L 2026 Player (Career splits R/L) .665/.918 Monasterio (.649/.789) looking good v L .785/.550 Seigler (.670/.592) looking good v R .738/.618 Sogard (.659/.727) flipped splits, this year .540/.566 Story (.769/.916 and .743/.734 in 2025) Going just by these numbers, it might be best to play... v R Sogard & Seigler, but Story has some numbers before '26 v L Monasterio & Story/Seigler

    If Anthony and Story both are called up and the plan is to play them both FT or very near FT, I'd prefer this... vR/vL LF: Anthony (Maybe Duran v some R) DH: Story (Maybe Anthony v some R) SS: Monasterio 2B: Sogard/Seigler (Romy?)

    My choice ranking: 1. SS Monasterio/ 2B Seigler-Story platoon (Sogard AAA) 2. SS Monasterio/ 2B Story 3. SS Story/ 2B Monasterio (Seigler bench) 2. SS Story/ 2B Monasterio-Seigler platoon

    He looked shaky to me, but SSS. OAA had him at -1, but DRS +4, this year alone.

    Anthony's defense did not look all that good, and they may want to limit his exposure to injury by DH'ing him. With Yoshida on the IL, I think Anthony will mainly DH, but maybe polay LF vs LHPs. (Duran sits.)

    I was careful to focus on the great bench at middle infield and the rotation. The bench for the OF was Anthony (DH to LF) and Yoshida (DH to LF) then not much else beyond Eaton/Ward. Once Anthony went down, a replacement for Duran was not obvious. I was not for benching Duran earlier, just demoting him down the line-up. I'm okay with platooning him now in the 9 slot. We lost Yoshida as a LH'd platoon option for LF, and all we have a RHBs.

    I agree, assuming Story plays SS FT. I like Sogard, but I like a Monasterio/Seigler platoon better.

    I meant stuck with him in the one slot for too long, but you are right. To those who bashed Brez for not getting bold last deadline- EVERYONE wanted Tolle.

    Seigler has done very well at 2B, too. I hope Story's return doesn't mess with our recent middle infield success. The 2B+SS production over the last month or so has been maybe the best month in a very long time for the keystone combo. OPS last 28 Days .785 Monasterio .756 Seigler .671 Sogard Since June 26th: .856 Monasterio .704 Sogard & .699 Seagler

    I'm not sure what BAbip as to do with it, and Eaton/Sogard ad worse BAbip and better OBPs up first. Of the batters with 40+ PAs in the one slot, OBP: .347 Antony .317 Sogard .310 Yoshida .265 Duran ,255 Seagler OPS: .720 Yosida ,667 Duran .620 Antony .577 Sogard & .573 Seigler Maybe we shoulda tried Rafaela there more often. .400 OBP and .956 OPS in 10 PAs. Jones has been a beast up first (1.493 in 18 PAs)
