  1. Back to baseball, rumor has it, the Dodgers might be looking to dump AGon and pay almost all of his contract. I'm not sure we can afford a roster spot for even a free AGon, but it is an interesting idea to ponder. Maybe they'd take HRam and Castillo for him. LOL.
  2. Add one more brilliant and enlightening post to your totals.
  3. Here's just one example of your poor reading comprehension or strawman construction expertise. It has to be one or the other, unless you're just out btrolling. I go on and on saying how Duda is an average fielder and runner (which is much better than replacement level, I might add) and how his OBP is a big asset to any team, and you counter with this... "So you agree that he brings nothing to the table during his power outages that a replacement level player would not bring? " Where do you get this sort of reasoning from? Breibart News? Then you go on and claim a 1.7 month slump is 2 1/2 months long. (At least you admitted to it being 2 months, later.) Any data that prove you may be wrong is "irrelevant" or "lacks context". How convenient. Anyone that challenges you and your condescending ways are "snarky" or lacking in the ability to comprehend. I think calling you a "clown" is being unduly kind.
  4. Monkey see...
  5. Your 57,000+ posts are all that is needed. Stawmen Misrepresentations. Outright falsifications and exaggerations. Condescension Just a short list.
  6. Yes, I know the distinction. I admitted I was wrong. Chronic is different from injury prone. Do I need to perform a human sacrifice or something? You never give up. Must have something to do with being under your skin.
  7. Clowns are fun and offer great entertainment. It was a very accurate description. Hope I'm not getting under your skin.
  8. Again, very clear self assessment. Forgive me for saying you claimed Duda was injury prone. I was wrong. He just has "chronic health issues". I stand corrected. I got it totally wrong. "...As for Moreland, I would prefer him because he is a much better fielder and he doesn’t have any chronic health issues."
  9. Uehara has many good or great season. He's pitched in MLB for 9 years and never had a WHIP above 1.163 after his rookie year (which was 1.245). 7 straight seasons under 0.957 and 5 straight under 0.917. He might have the lowest all time 3 year WHIP stretch: 2011: 0.723 2012: 0.639 2013: 0.565 with Boston Okajima did well for us for several years. What about ... Hiroki Kuroda (awesome career from ages 33-39- never had an ERA above 3.76) Hisashi Iwakuma (Pretty good for a guy starting in MLB at age 31) Yu Darvish (Watch what he makes with his next contract) Tmo Ohka (pretty good 4 year stretch)
  10. Who is this year's Charlie Morton?
  11. Or, did you mean this one? "If you don't read 700's posts you are uninformed; if you do read 700's posts you are misinformed."
  12. Never try to teach a pig to sing. You waste your time, and annoy the pig.
  13. Sale Price Pomeranz Porcello Wright ERod by mid season? ? Brian Johnson? ?Hector Velazquez? ?Jalen Beeks? ? Justin Haley? ? R Elias or C. Shepherd? Looks like we might need to add one or two veteran journeymen.
  14. If that thought makes you feel good, then good for you. Clowns will be clowns.
  15. Cameron's bargain picks are not "dumpster dives" or minor league signings. Some get big contracts. Morton was not a dumpster dive, but he was a bargain signing, whether or not Cameron or anyone else picked him to be a bargain. $14M/2 looks like a steal.
  16. Charlie Morton was a bargain for the championship team.
  17. I'm not sure who we can expect to step into the starting line-up from the farm this year or next or even the year after. I guess maybe Chavis, Travis or Ockimey might take HRam's place, or Chatham for Bogey, but I'm not seeing the same level as Betts, JBJ, Bogey, Beni & Devers now that DD traded away Moncada, Dubon, Asuage and the Basabe brothers, not to mention Travis Shaw. I'm pretty certain Ben would have traded some prospects, but this would not have looked too bad: DH Moncada C Vaz-Leon 1B T Shaw 2B Pedey-Asuaje 3B Devers SS Bogey then Dubon LF Beni-Basabe CF JBJ RF Betts I'm not bashing DD's trades as a whole. I loved the sale trade and was okay with the Thornburg deal. I hated the Pom & Kimbrel trades but knew they would both help us for the 3 years of control each brought with them. The point about not developing young pitchers is as true as true can be.
  18. It could be that the team who ends up getting him ends up writing just what he wants to hear.
  19. Nice self assessment.
  20. Then explain what you meant.... Here's a clue... "...I just see no overall upside in Duda. I don't see him as a platoon player, nor do I see Hanley as a platoon player." Then, this... "The downside for Travis is that he is right-handed and not a platoon candidate with Hanley..."
  21. Pot meet kettle.
  22. Yes. He did. He also missed 3+ months in 2014 giving him less PAs than the injury prone Duda over the last 4 years.
  23. What a "bargain!". (Just kidding.)
  24. Well, I was sitting next to an O's fan this year, and he assured me that Tillman will be 100% healthy for 2018.
  25. A simple google search does the trick. 2016 bargains: Rich Hill, Ben Zobrist, Steve Pearce, wei-yin Chen & Jason Heyward 9hardly a low cost FA). ' 2017 bargains: Justin Turner, Rich Hill, Neil Walker, Brett Cecil, Matt Holliday 2016 landmines: Dexter Fowler, Yovani Gallardo, Justin Upton, Jordan Zimmerman & Chris Davis 2017 landmines: Mark Trumbo, Mark Melancon, Edwin Encarnacion, Kendrys Morales, Matt Wieters
