  1. I take back everything I have ever said about Devers' defense!
  2. Don't let Machado on base.
  3. Turner kills us. Glad he's up with nobody on.
  4. What a fantastic game! Love seeing the shocked faces of Dodger fans. Sale screaming in the Sox dugout while Dodgers are chiilin' & relaxed on the bench. Moreland huge. Pearce Huge. Holt Huge. Devers huge. Did I mention Pearce huge? Erod huge...just left in too long. Sox pen huge...(until now)
  5. I love our chances tonight. This team has shown an unbelievable talent to flip the script all year. We were 13-1 in ERod starts at the beginning of the year. We ended up 19-4 in his 23 starts. He hasn't been the same since the injury, but I'm hopeful he'll find the magic and our bats will come alive.
  6. I'm thinking either Moreland got hurt (again), or they really wanted Sandy behind the plate as Vaz was tiring.
  7. I didn't see it either, but he did seem to be running in sand. He looked slow.
  8. I agree, and the JD pull was questionable, but I think without the benefit of hindsight, Cora probably expected this... 1) A better chance to score with a faster runner, and it almost worked. 2) Better late inning OF defense with Holt moving to LF after the move. (I'd have tried to work it out where Beni stays in the game not Kinsler.) 3) He did not expect 18 innings and 3 more PAs from JD's slot. Nobody figured that. 4) JD running the bases increased the odds of tweaking the ankle. I'm not saying I liked the move, but there were several reasons on the plus side, but hindsight shot down some of them.
  9. True, but Kimbrel threw 28 and Barnes 23. They can both go tonight.
  10. We're not punting anything. We are going out to win this game-- all out.
  11. I'm thinking ERod vs Hill. Unlike some, I like our chances. Both teams are tired. Yes, we used 9 pitchers, but two of them (Eovaldi & Porcello) pitched almost 11 innings. Maybe we see this: 2-3 IP ERod 1-2 IP Barnes 1-2 IP Kelly 1-2 IP POM/Hembree 1 IP Brasier 1 IP Kimbrel If we're up, I'm not sure we use Sale from the pen. I'm not sure about Price or Porcello giving us a batter or two.
  12. The worst part was that we got him for his glove. Big swing play to the bad. I think we bounce back with a surprise win tonight.
  13. We're gonna rock Rich Hill tonight.
  14. I might send him 2nd, 3rd and then try to steal home.
  15. Go to RF with a hit vaz!
  16. Do you send JBJ on a steal attempt?
  17. No way he could stop on a dime on thet play. He turned around so his knees didn't hit the wall. The legs don'e bend that way.
  18. Everyone is too tired to get a hit, let alone a homer or a string of hits.
  19. ...and they still can't buy a hit! Eovaldi is doing all this needing to throw 4-5 strikes per batter.
  20. I miss JD. Has he been out 9 innings by now?
