  1. In such a short time we added: Durbin, Montasterio, Seigler in today's trade. I Kiner Falefa FA B Rodgers MiFA TC Cheng waivers Lost: DHam (Bregman earlier)
  2. Funny, how that happened. Brez had so many calls out for 2B/3Bman, when the all said yes at the same time, maybe he lost count.
  3. Pitching was likely the only thing that would have worked, and maybe tthey didn't like ours as much as Brez does. Too bad they don't need a DH! LOL.
  4. Amazing. We may never see KC in the infield, again, but he does count as one. I hope Casas becomes our DH someday, but he counts, too. Cheng will be DFA'd, unless they like him more than Eaton.
  5. We are winning, right? Or is that a lie?
  6. Indeed. He also need to (re?) prove he could hit even RHP well enough to stick around. I'm not sure being a great PR'er has enough value to win a slot on anyone's 26, without something more than decent defense at 2B only and a .675 OPS vs RHPs platoon bat. I'm glad we opened up a slot on the 40 by trading him. That JBJ trade just keeps on giving and giving!! LOL
  7. "Dishonest?" I'd say "frugal" or "scrimping." maybe.
  8. I thought so, too, and probably MIL, too. I don't see DHam or Drohan looking like prizes. I'm surprised Brez got the comp pick, too.
  9. This was part of why I was thinking he'd be traded. (I thought the same, last winter.)
  10. Plus Rodgers as very nice non 40 depth. I'd say TCC goes and we add a RP'er or RHB OF'er.
  11. With four FT OF'ers and KC, Romy and Masa capable of playing the OF, we don't need help there, right now.
  12. I think 2 RP'ers may come from whoever loses out of the 5 slot of the rotation: Oviedo, Crawford or Sandoval. Of course, that assumes we break camp with no injuries. I doubt we use Tolle or Early in the pen in April, but maybe Samaniego or Uberstine? We still have Kelly, Moran and Watson after the big 4: Chapman, Whitlock, Slaten & Weissert.
  13. We went from 22 pitchers and 18 everyday players on the 40 to 20-20.
  14. I think all three Milwaukee players are on the 40 man roster. We traded 3 on the 40, too, so no roster moves are needed, at this time.
  15. Maybe sooner than that as we've added Durbin, I K-F, Montasterio, Rodgers & Seigler... all with MLB experience. We lost Bregman and DHam. We have Eaton & Sogard on the 40, too.
  16. It's not as simple as just adding Durbin's projected 2.7 fWAR to the total projected WAR for the 2026 Sox, but if we do, our team fWAR would be 48.0. Adjust for this... Montasterio 0.3 DHam 0.5 & Harrison 0.2 We'd be near 47.6. 1. LAD 57.3 2, TOR 48.1 3. BOS 47.6 4. NYY 47.5 5. NYM 47.4 6. ATL 47.2 7. SEA 46.8 8. PHI 45.7
  17. If Durbin can get near a 3.0 WAR, we could be fine, this season. We now have a much improved infield depth. Of course Bregman >>> Durbin, but let's see how their numbers compare year 2-3-4-5.
  18. You act like that's a huge deal. Half the team are below average. Sure, I wish if was high. It could be higher. It should be higher. JH is NOT cheap, however. He just isn't. (BTW, if our revenues went up we are likely neat 19th.)
  19. Finding a way to trade Masa should be Brez's focus, now. Of course, we could just DFA him, but see if we can get a few $M in budget relief, if possible. That would really free up the 26 and 40 man roster for this: 26 (40 in minors) 60 Day IL: Houck & 15 Day IL: Casas/Sandoval SP: Crochat, Suarez, Gray, Bello, Oviedo/Crawford (Tolle/Early/Uberstine/Bennet) RP: Chapman, Whitlock, Slaten, Weissert, Crawford/Oviedo, Watson, Moran, Kelly (Samaniego) C: Narvaez, Wong (Gasper) 1B: Contreras 2B: Mayer, Romy 3B: Durbin, I K-F (Eaton) SS: Story, Sogard (Cheng) LF: Anthony (Campbell) CF: Rafaela RF: Abreu DH: Duran
  20. Take today's spotrac budget $259/5 and divide by $574 and it 45%, which is about 18th.
  21. Agreed. I had Harrison behind Crawford, Sandoval, Oviedo and also Tolle/Early. Drohan will likely be passed by Witherspoon, Phillips and Eyanson, soo. (Valera & Holobetz, too.) DHam is DHam.
  22. Wow, I did not realize he had a 2.6 fWAR and 2.8 bWAR. Matt Shaw: 1.5/3.1 Paredes: 2.5/2.3
  23. 1. We balanced the roster: pitching vs everyday players & Lefty-righty. Check! 2. We took the DHam option away from Cora. Check! 3. We now can platoon Mayer with Romy at 2B, if needed, of can platoon Romy at DH with Masa/Duran/Casas or rotate him back and forth. We still have the 4 OF'ers and Masa at DH issue, so if there is one more move to make, maybe it's Masa and cash/prospect for scraps.
  24. I musta traded DHam 20 times on BTV! I like this trade, due to the return we gave up and who we got. The comp pick is nice. I had hoped for more- someone more proven. Someone with more power. He did have a plus 5 DRS, +2 OAA and a plus dWAR (0.8) in his rookie year and 11 HRs in about 500 PAs, so maybe he can build up to 20 HR poser, someday. He had an .858 AAA OPS with 12 Hrs in 433 PAs. He's a RHB. BTV says we did well, as Durbin alone is worth 21.3 while we gave up a total of 11.4. Getting a SS and C for depth is okay. We are better after this trade, but I had my sights on Paredes.
