  1. Nice to see some go up and in on Stanton.
  2. Let’s put this “mighty” pen away!
  3. Some clown wants to trade his ass!
  4. The slumping Bogey Man comes alive!
  5. minutes from game time. I can’t wait!
  6. His decline placed him second on the team in OPS. I like Arroyo at 2B, too, but not having JD hurts.
  7. JD has been tremendously “ clutch, “ of late and over his career.
  8. You have not been a big fan of JD for a while, though. Right?
  9. I was talking about more than you, but wanting a guy that just got off the IL and has hardly played over a guy that has been raking, makes me think you do not think too highly of JD.
  10. I’m a big Arroyo fan, but I’m not getting all the JD negativity.
  11. It might be “recent” but when you only play the OF a few times getting hurt once or twice really skews the numbers.
  12. And, it's not just the novelty of pitching and hitting: he was very good to great at both.
  13. I know what the official answer is, but I'm okay with people not viewing this game as part of the "playoffs," even though it is.
  14. We hit .852 off him, this year, as a team overall. .964 at Fenway in 3 games (72 PAs), including 5 HRs and 4 2Bs.
  15. Who was the Sox pitcher who went on the DL getting out of bed?
  16. A sad day for Sox fans, but at least we could be part of that celebration.
  17. Good point. .831 Home .724 Away A much higher differential that OPS Against: .767 Home .729 Away Player splits: Home/Away 1.262/.522 TShaw 1.146/.771 Schwarber .937/.796 Bogey .899/.689 Dalbec .895/.886 Devers .891/.542 Plawecki .890/.840 JD .870/.760 Renfroe .864/1.000 Wong .845/.720 Kike .825/.734 Dugo .721/.555 Arauz .663/.655 Vaz .616/.978 Arroyo .572/.583 Duran
  18. I hate to use one example, but getting hurt running out to your position does not bode well for your injury prone index.
  19. I'm with you on all of this, except maybe the last statement. It's been hitting over defense, but much of our spending budget goes to pitching over hitting. Every ring we've won has been after acquiring a strong second or third starter by FA (Lackey, Price) or trade (Pedro, Schilling, Beckett, Sale, Eovaldi). Sure, we paid the Mannys and JDs, too. I also think, we tried to draft players that looked to be good on defense and offense (Betts, JBJ, Vaz, Beni...)
  20. True. If we need to go to Richards over Sawamura, we're in trouble or up by 7.
  21. We might PH Renfroe for Vaz and then Shaw for Plawecki, and end the game with Wong.
