  1. I remember several posters arguing Kelly should be left off the playoff roster. YES! With most RP'ers, it's all about how you did your last few games.
  2. He hardly pitched his last start, so I'm not sure the short rest thing matters much, but you may be right. If we are going with ERod and Sale in the first 2 games, starting ERod in game one makes more sense. Eovaldi will start game 3. The only real question mark is Houck. Does he start game 4 or could he even start game 2? Is Pivetta done as a starter for the playoffs?
  3. Why are Sox players over the hill at 31 and 32, but Lemahieu will be great next year at age 33-34? I'm curious about your pitcher predictions, too. I appreciate you putting your opinions out there, instead of preaching vagaries. .
  4. With all RP'ers, ERA means very little, and career numbers, too. The recency effect pulls the most weight.
  5. Had the Yanks not played the Twins, 3 teams would have passed them in the standings.
  6. I agree with this, but I also think you need to start thinking some of the players you thought so highly of in March just aren't as good as you thought. You also wrote off a lot of Sox players that maybe didn't deserve your evaluations. I'm not saying nobody exceeded expectations, but plenty did not or did about what was expected. You may have also underestimated how much good managing affects the W-L record. I'll be watching how you evaluate next year's teams, after some winter changes made to both teams. Will you views on Eovaldi, Sale and others improve?
  7. That's a pleasant thought.
  8. At least one on every player.
  9. It was directed towards the non believers.
  10. He’s had 4 post season starts. It’s not about his name.
  11. It won’t be easy, but our team has shown grit. We have a 99.4% Grit factor. The Rays just 54.9%.
  12. Indeed! Sox advance, and the Yanks eliminated in one fell swoop! It doesn’t get much better than this!
  13. He did damn well, in season, too.
  14. So, are all the recency bias followers jumping on board the beat the Rays bandwagon, or has the criteria shifted?
  15. His continuous bashing of big Nate makes this win even nicer.
  16. How about that season, Sox fans? Are you up for more? Just believe!
  17. How about big Nate? I’d love to go back and find all the jacko posts on Eovaldi, but let’s let him wallow in the misery and rejoice in Boone’s pending departure.
  18. Yanks will sign Semien and Stroman.
  19. We had Cole’s number. Home field. Momentum. Low expectations. Better team. This win was earned. This playoff slot was earned. Keep it going. One game at a time!
  20. What a game! What a week! What a season!
  21. Sorry. My bad. I confused you with another.
  22. We went over this. I get your point, but don’t now pretend Dugo took JDs place after Arroyo goes oh for.
