I'd have left Eovaldi in, too, but there is n way to knw what was the right or wrong call- after the fact.
As much as many think this babying pitchers sucks, and we long for the good ole days, the fact is, pitchers just don't hold up like they used to.
The third time through numbers are reality, and BTW, the first 2 Yankees guys up for the 3rd time homered and singled off Eovaldi. Personally, I'd look beyond that, but I'm not going to pretend I know it was the right call.
Cora has access to a lot more information that we do- numbers that go beyond just the raw data we can see, like...
