Not many posters are saying we should trade Bogey, if we are still in the hunt, but I guess how much of a chance we have at the deadline might be up for debate.
I would not trade Bogey, if we have a good chance to make the playoffs, but I would not be upset, if we did trade him while our team does not look like a ring contender. (Note: I am not one who believes the "playoffs are a crapshoot.")
BTW, Nomar was not the only example under Henry. On September 4th, 2006, the 75-64 Red Sox were 6 games behind the wild card slot (MN), and we traded David Wells for a prospect (Kottaras). I remember several posters on the old site being upset we were raising the white flag, too early. We ended up finishing 10 behind at 86-76.
