  1. That's what I was guessing it would have to be.
  2. With Valdez, his numbers could change that quickly. Not a "toll."
  3. Let's see how they hold up once he reaches Whitlock's IP.
  4. He looked very focused in those 2 innings, but he needs to bring that game from the very start of every game.
  5. Let me rephrase... Was the major part of the overall loss on defense?
  6. Have you modified your thoughts on Seabold, this Spring?
  7. Tonight, we just got the hits at the wrong times, and they bunched theirs and the BBs all together. We hit the ball hard for some outs, and our hitters went oppo field a lot. I'm not upset about the O as much as I am with our rotation- something I was concerned about all winter. We needed to add to the rotation- not subtract (ERod).
  8. They probably messed up the hit away sign.
  9. We outhit them 10-9 and lose by 5. Yuck!
  10. You really think he should be demoted over 11 games? I'm glad we didn't demote him, Renfroe and Kike after last April, and that was 25+ games!
  11. Rafaela with 6th Tater!
  12. Seabold 6 IP 4 H 0 ER 2 BB 5 K Duran with only 2 hits in a 1-0 loss. Maybe he's over the little blip he had, last year.
  13. Can we get one of these nice hits with men on base?
  14. I think JD is a better hitter, now that his bat has slowed.
  15. It was a good pitch to hit.
  16. Your bashing Pivetta worked, last year. Maybe it will, again.
  17. Toronto's Line-Up: 1. Springer 2. Bichette 3. Vlad 4. Gurriel 5. Chapman 6. Tapia 7. Espinal 8. Kirk 9. Biggio (Only Vlad .317, Gurriel .275 and Springer .267 have BAs over .233.) SP: Jose Berrios
  18. So, it seems the move to starter was not the beginning of his unraveling.
  19. It was hard to plan for a rotation wide collapse. Sept 2011 ERA/GS 11.70 AMiller 2 9.13 Lackey 5 7.36 Weiland 3 5.48 Beckett 4 5.40 Lester 6 5.25 Wake 4 5.25 Bedard 3 The 2012 numbers carried over from 2011, as nearly everyone underperformed. 4.82 Lester 33 4.56 Buchholz 29 4.86 Doubront 29 5.23 Beckett 21 5.65 Cook 18 8.28 Dice-K 11 6.22 Bard 10 3.77 Morales 9 22.24 Stewart 2
  20. 3 out of 4 and 5 out of last 8 is encouraging.
  21. The 10 man pen helps. He may stick around when we go to 8, due to others having more options remaining than his zero. He's first on my DFA list.
  22. It was 2012. Here were the GS'd that season: 33 Lester 29 Buch 29 Doubront 21 Beckett 18 A Cook 11 Dice K 10 Bard 9 F Morelaes 2 ZStewart In 2011, we had 31 Lester, 30 Beckett, 28 Lackey, 23 Wake, 14 Buch, 12 A Miller, 8 Bedard, 7 Dice-K, 5 Weiland, 4 A Aceves.
  23. What worries me is that, league wide, pitching has been mostly over-powering. Not with our starters. Our team ERA- is 97 (17th place), but our starters are at 114 (curiously only 18th).
