  1. Agreed, and Cora is using him in mop up roles, recently- hoping a turnaround happens, but I'm not sure how much longer this can go on. Maybe, they have or need to talk to him about accepting some sort of rehab assignment in Woo.
  2. Trotting him out there is on Cora.
  3. Nope we did nothing to "develope him," in fact he'd have been better elsewhere.
  4. You forgot Bogey and JBJ (I guess you can say he is a platoon player). I think "the system" has undergone enough changes over the last 2-5 years to maybe not think it will continue as it did for so many years. We've already seen the best stats by 5-6 of our top pitching stats not seen for as long as I remember. Will that translate into some ML quality pitchers? We'll see, but I like what I'm seeing. Also, why only look at developed players on the current team? Doesn't developing players that are good but were tarded to other games, still count as positive player development? Betts Beni Chavis (doing well, now) Margot Moncada Rizzo
  5. Neither were ever ranked in the top 100.
  6. Last year, we did not have a 9 game west coast trip, but we had this: We won 6 straight v NYY and KCR, then went 3-3 @ OAK & LAA. Later, we went on a road trip and lost 2/3 to CWS and went 2-1 v SEA. (Total 5-4 on West coast) 2020: we played no games vs ALC or ALW. 2019: 1-3 @ SEA 1-3 @ OAK 1-2 @ AZ (set the tone for a shock.) Later... 6-3 v SDP, COL, LAA (4-7 @ ALW) 2018: 4-2 @LAA/OAK in April 2-2 @SEA in June (6-4 @ ALW) 2017 1-3 @ OAK in May 2-4 @ LAA/OAK in July (3-7 @ ALW) 2016 2-2 @LAA 2-2 @SEA 1-2 @LAD in AUG Later in SEP: 2-1 @OAK, 1-2 @SDP (6-5 @ ALW) 2015 3-1 OAK, 2-2 SEA in May and 0-4 LAA in July (5-7 @ ALW) 2014 1-3 OAK, 1-2 SEA in June, later 2-1 LAA (4-6 @ ALW) 2013 1-2 LAA, 3-1 SEA, 1-2 OAK (5-5 @ ALW) I didn't remember there being so many split west coast trips over recent years, and we did better than I remembered.
  7. We are hot, right now, and two of the west coast teams we will face are struggling, b ut we've lost more than we've won so many times, out there, I can't get too optimistic. I would not bet on the Sox to go 5-4. I would not want to bet against them either, but gun to my head I bet 4-5 at best.
  8. I don't bet anymore. I quit after some friends and I, who were heavy into betting, went 1-27 one fateful Sunday.
  9. Hopefully, not beyond game 41. I doubt anyone will trade a top closer, now, so it's Houck or Whitlock, to me. I'm not sure what Cora is waiting for, either.
  10. The Sox never go 5-4 on west coast trips, no matter how bad those teams are.
  11. Whitlock v Bradish Keep the bats HOT!
  12. To me, being a bit over simplistic here, we have too many holes to fill to spend so much of our budget over the next 5-10 years on Bogey and Devers. Signing one seems doable, and to me, Devers is the obvious choice. If our farm had 6-8 guys that we ML ready to step in and fill all the other gaps we will have, then maybe, but that seems too far away to spend this big, now on both of these stars.
  13. He's over .700 now, still a rare thing among his teammates.
  14. There was a lot of dung in that barn!
  15. He started to look like he was coming out of it, then he sabotages himself.
  16. Atlanta rarely pays b ig for anyone, even their own. I don't think our minor league system is strong and deep enough to fill all the holes we will have. We will need some money to fill the holes our farm can't fill. Some of our best prospects are too far away or too questionable to count on. We also have to re-sign or replace... JD Wacha Hill Strahm Kike Counting on Sale or Paxton my be a pipedream.
  17. That and he seems to be a natural hitter unfazed by tough times. I think he has better years ahead.
  18. Dalbec finally gets a hit. WOW! Remember Bobby Dee was at .595 on June 8th. He hit .916 the rest of the way. Cora's patience paid off with him, last year.
  19. I'm so glad JD's bat has slowed to this speed.
  20. Where would we be without Schreiber?
  21. Finally Arroyo does something.
  22. The wing and a prayer Booby Dee is getting close to being demoted.
  23. You assume Cordero and Dalbec can't fix themselves.
