  1. Yeah, but no one is saying "Holt for Sale". Holt would be a nice throw in to sweeten a trade. or....Does anyone think Holt could net us a better RP than Abad? If so, maybe they should explore such an idea.
  2. I'd rather deal prospects like Devers for SP (Danny Duffy for example), than RP. I would seriously question DD and the rest of the FO I f they did another Kimbrel type deal. That would be a disaster for the long term and has simply no guarantee of paying off in the short term. Especially when there are equally or better options in FA for that caliber of a RP/Closer.
  3. Last night... I would've given anything to see Shaw load the bases w/ a BB and see what Mookie would've done. They started to come around and even JBJ got his one lone hit. Soo close but in the end not enough and definitely not soon enough. No excuses. The Guardians pitching really surprised me. Not their bats so much because they hit all year. I would've taken that matchup over Texas any day. I guess you never really know who's going to show up in the post season all the time. I think I'm going to root for Cleveland from here on out. I don't like their fans but I like Tito & most of their team. It really did come down to our SP, w/ Porcello & Price not up to task when we needed them because our bats would've eventually come around like we saw last night. Ahh well.
  4. You think they just should forfeit Sunday's game then? That would make it easier for you wouldn't it. I don't think I am being a Pollyanna here. It's not over yet, that's why they play. This ain't my first rodeo bro. Been a fan of baseball & the Red Sox for a long time and I've suffered through worse scenarios than this one. Stop being a bitch. Lol
  5. That's exactly right. That's all they need to focus on. It's actually a good test for our young players, win or lose. One game at a time.
  6. I think getting back to Fenway will indeed help. They just have to take it one game at a time. I'm not expecting or demanding any miracles. I don't think the feat in question is "miracle" worthy. Cleveland won their games at home, and the Sox have to do the same, simple as that.
  7. I couldn't have said it better myself.
  8. We should've done that tonight already. Shake things up a bit
  9. My comment was in jest. They've sure looked tight & pressed the whole series though. No doubt about that. But no, I don't blame Farrell for Porcello & Price. If they have to replace JBJ & Leon with Young & Vaz.... Shake things up do something. Anything.
  10. Shouldn't those Sonic guys be fat as Panda by now?
  11. Can't catch a f***ing break on anything.
  12. Is it too late to fire Farrell and go with Lovullo?
  13. Hanley still needs to make a defensive swing on that though
  14. Many times? That's an exaggeration.
  15. Exactly. They found the hole in Leon's swing. He's looking like JBJ ala 2013
  16. I noticed that too. 50% of the time it's two seperate strike zones.
  17. Ha! Rich Hill, and then nothing, nada, zilch
  18. Can we put Vaz in now? I've seen enough of Leon for the time being.
  19. I'm hoping Sox have the game in the bag by 5:30. If it's 13-2 Sox you won't need an update:)
  20. I know Pedroia was going to apologize to the HP Ump for arguing, but I'd rather last night's HP Ump apologize for his horrible strike zone.
  21. JBJ batting 9th... Farrell pushing the Reset button.
  22. And it still almost did fail a couple times. I wasn't thrilled with the strikezone we had to deal with vs what they had to deal with. I mean, HP ump struck-out Hanley on an unquestionable ball 4 in a key situation. Pom couldn't get a K on a closer pitch later on. Calling Papi safe at 2B was the ONLY call that didn't wined up getting overturned. I'd give the umps a c+. But that's the thing in the post-season ... You have two opponents. You have to be better than your opposition and good enough to not let the umps f*** you over. Sox were neither last night. But its still only one game.
  23. Yeah Miller got the win, Bauer didn't even pitch 5in. That's what I'm sayin'. I think their BP is gonna be toast when it matters, but that's their only option w/out Carrasco & Salazar out.
