JBJ batting 9th and Mookie leading off. I feel like I half jokingly suggested such a lineup 3 weeks ago.

I have to say, another veteran presence on the field and in the clubhouse could go a lot further than simply calling up a prospect. Youth is great, don't get me wrong, but we have a lot of that already.

Texas is in the cellar at the moment. It wouldn't surprise me if they fought their way back to relevancy over the next few months. I like Hou & Sea better of course, but have little faith in Oak & LAA at this point. Is Beltre even healthy?

My thoughts exactly. 5th starter, shmh. I'd be quite happy with our 1 through 4 If Price is indeed healthy the rest of the way.

Weird time for the game. I feel pretty lucky being able to tune in a minute before Mookie's 3 run shot today. Who's the big winner?! ERod with another QS. That's nice to see.

I'm not an Insider (but i'm ok with that). I don't think an early promotion is the worst thing. It may even get him a look at what he needs to work on even if he does fail this time around. If he fails, we'll still see him in September. If he fails and it ruins his career somehow (and i don't know why it would), we have other 3B prospects that were doing well last time I checked (not to bring up to the Majors, but they'd still be prospects in our system). The only thing that happens if Devers fails is that there's a slight chance his value may decline some. Although, I'm not sure we should care about his trade value when we're at a time where we shouldn't be looking to trade any more prospects anyhow.

Can't we just bring him up and platoon him vs RHPs for a spell? See where he's at with his assumed strengths at the major league level? Plus we'd be getting at the very least average major league defense at 3B for most of that time. People forget, average major league anything is still pretty good (way better than "replacement level" ).

With Price still out (another 4-5 weeks?), Wright gone for the season ( Ugh, I honestly didn't see this coming ), Pom only lasting around 5 innings, and Kendrick who can't last 3 without losing the game....I want to make the most out of that 5th spot as much as we can. Right now: Porcello Sale ERod Pom Kendricks in another month: Porcello Sale Price ERod Pom Getting Price back is a huge upgrade but the waiting is killing me. I'm hoping ERod can give us what Porcello gave us last year. ERod's starts are so key right now in my mind.

I know what play you're talking about, and yes, JBJ makes that play all day long. Not a knock on Beni, only 5-6 CFers in the league make that play I'm guessing.Just so happens JBJ is one of them.

Besides Sale, Eck has to be my favorite part about this team right now.

No, quite the opposite really. I'm all for quick fixing 3B until Devers is ready. 3B is obviously the biggest hole we have defense-wise. I'd rather not have to give up the blue chips we have left, however tempting Donaldson might be.
