  1. Naw. Still having trouble. Are you sure? All's I'm seeing is Hip-Hop still.
  2. I'd be lobbying for JD Martinez, if we could play him someplace other than DH. But why Moon? JD gets hurt every year anyway. He has an extensive injury history. I'd wouldn't think twice about using him as our full time DH, and this is coming from someone who loves the idea of a rotating DH. But if a hitter like JD (or Stanton, obviously) can be added, I'm willing to scrap that idea until it makes sense again. I'll put all that aside for "The Window".
  3. Naw. All I see is Hip-Hop on there.
  4. Rap music? ... they still make that?... Where can I get it?
  5. Soo... the Yankees YES Network camera is a free energy device, not an electronic one? Good to know. One would hope they share this civilization changing technology with the rest of us. Gas is getting expensive again.
  6. Applegate. I see no other option but, for namesake , have Christina Applegate make a public service announcement saying cheating is bad. Then immediately after that, she takes off her shirt.
  7. Fire Farrell? Oh NOOOs! Not the Brier patch. Anything but THAT!
  8. yeah....f*** you
  9. Agreed. Except for the hindsight part. I thought all the moves he made were from great-to-acceptable at the time. And dare I say it, low risk-high reward:o. DD has strengthened our depth, our bench, our speed, our SP, our BP. Giving Fister a try was acceptable on it's face from the start. Why not. We had nothing to lose bringing in a veteran like that in a time of multiple injuries. In that time Fister has gone from acceptable to genius for me.
  10. Good article about Betts this season here: http://boston.locals.baseballprospectus.com/2017/08/24/musing-about-mookie-betts/
  11. It's almost like they plan on doing a lot of running this next month and in the post season. I like it. I hate having a slow team on the base paths. Not just SBs but being able to pinch run if need be, scoring from 2B on a single... etc. I'm really diggin' these small pieces were adding on for a playoff run.
  12. My biggest complaint about Farrell was that for most of the season our team didn't seem to want to get up for the teams we really needed to beat in our own division. That's changed in recent weeks. Sox are 20 games over now. Taking series vs the Yanks helps a ton. Not our division, but atleast coming out with a split (possible win) vs Cleveland, our biggest playoff rival is significant to me as well. The lineups and batting order were the second complaint, but with new additions like Nunez, Devers ( now Davis) I'll have to re-assess. Trust me, there were times I'd just want to call it all off and want Mike Aviles back out of spite. We're all looking for greatness, our standards are pretty high, but sometimes just being good can be enough. I think when you have an overall good, balance team ( Not great but good pitching staff, not great but good offense, defense, SB% give or take), a good GM(PBO), not great but good manager and good coaches... The good starts to out weigh everything else over time and makes up for a lot of flaws.
  13. What? They have to amputate his thumb? "to shreds you say? And his wife? ... To shreds you say?"
  14. No,Stanton begins with an 'S' ya' dummy:rolleyes:
  15. Ha! I can just see it now. I ask you what beer you wanted while I'm reaching in the cooler and you're reply is something like "any random beer would be fine, thanks".
  16. Good chance it's 1-3 but, i can see why they felt compelled given IT's recent injury to make this trade. I not gonna bitch about it too much. I like the way this team, especially the starters, are shaping up.
  17. That's possible.
  18. Kinsler would have been nice to go after though
  19. Losing that #1 pick doesn't sit well with me at all.
  20. Ya'll are are pretty fun at parties and bbq's i bet. /s/
  21. Yeah, i think ... I started them actually.
  22. I'm not even sure if I'd pull the trigger on it either. It's just fun to speculate on the what if.
  23. Because we could use a full-time DH that may very well hit another 50 HRs. With that kind of offensive production, I'm not sure if I care how much he plays in the field. He could play more LF than just platooning with Beni vs lefties. Players need rest. Betts and JBJ need rest days too and we could rotate accordingly and keep everyone fresh. It's just a day dream. I don't think it'll actually happen. But if the argument is how they'd make it work, my answer is... somehow.
