    Yeah, it's amazing that someone who played 11 years in the majors could still be so backwards in their understanding of parts of the game. I can't help but think of Carl Everett and his opinion on dinosaurs. LOL

    I'm not surprised. The AL East isn't what it used to be. I'll be shocked if this division sends a WC to the playoffs. Definitely the Who Will Suck Less division.

    Nope, if the rotation doesn't improve, adding Hamels (and paying through the nose for the privilege) isn't going to help. Either the rotation get's it's collective s*** together, or a couple of minor league pitchers step up. Otherwise, it's sign someone from the free agent pool next off season. I'm not convinced the season is over yet, however.

    Good post. You have to understand that some folks with delicate psyches have to protect themselves from disappointment, by constantly bitching. That way, when the s*** hits the fan, they're not emotionally invested. If things do turn out well, they can then pretend that they were invested all along. It's a win-win for the weak at heart.

    Yup. It's amazing how personal some fans take this stuff. Even if you've made tons of money, it still sucks to lose your job. Particularly, if it's a job you love.
