  1. We needed that win badly to stop the sky from falling. At least for one day.
  2. Not bad. I only got 11/18.
  3. Well, this is true. However, the Os are probably the next worst thing.
  4. I think it would be a huge mistake to trade Hanigan. The value of a veteran, defensive back up catcher is underrated, especially when both of our other catchers are so young and inexperienced. It's only been a few games, but based on what we've seen so far, Swihart would benefit from some seasoning in AAA. It's not just the blocking pitches. Price and Swihart didn't seem to be able to get on the same page early in the game today. Would a catcher like Hanigan or Vazquez have made a difference? Maybe, maybe not. But it certainly wouldn't have hurt. And I say this as a huge Swihart fan.
  5. I'm not a huge fan of knuckleball pitching either, but he has earned his spot in the rotation unless someone else can prove otherwise. Good on him. The last two losses have been extremely frustrating. Good pitching - no offense, then good offense - no pitching.
  6. My man Pete Abraham, telling it like it is:
  7. Thank you for this post Soxhop.
  8. Not the way the Sox drew this one up. Go figure is right. Baseball it such a random sport.
  9. I would not be surprised to see Vazquez up as soon as he's eligible to come off the DL, for several reasons.
  10. This is really funny. I don't know what the heck that slide was. I'm glad Holt didn't hurt himself on that.
  11. Farrell needs to stop pinch hitting for Shaw so early in the game, especially in this case when there was nobody on base.
  12. One of the bright spots of this game was some very good defense by Hanley, Pedroia, and Holt. Hanley is handling the position defensively much better than I ever thought he would. My apologies to him for doubting him.
  13. Holt was not available. So, he replaced either Castillo or Fat Pablo.
  14. It figures that in a game that we get a good starting pitching performance, the offense can't do anything. Oh well, the sweet would have been nice, but I'll take 2 out of 3 all year long, especially on the road.
  15. I don't understand the decision either, but saying this move cost us the game is a stretch. Most of our offense looked hapless all day long, not just Young.
  16. It's like trying to catch a fly with a chopstick.
  17. Not sure where you're getting that from?
  18. This decision really doesn't make any sense.
  19. And then there is option 2 - Haters gonna hate.
  20. There is a reason why I like you SK. Actually, there are many reasons.
  21. That seems to be a real issue, people not being able to look past the contract.
  22. How in the heck are the Os 5-0? Time to put an end to that nonsense.
  23. I always hated when managers pulled my starting pitcher after 5.2 innings, and it seemed to happen a lot. Don't they know that fantasy managers are counting on that quality start? Seriously, let the pitcher get that last stinking out!
  24. And this is why fantasy baseball is so stressful. LOL
