    I don't think Dombrowski should overpay for Moustakas either, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Either way, it's on the rest of the team to step it up.

    Yeah, no kidding. This offseason was the 'win at any cost' offseason. And this is why it wouldn't surprise me if Dombrowski went all in to get us a 3B.

    LOL I actually don't live in Fairfax, I am here for a week of training. I live in southeastern VA where there is plenty going on. Are you in VA or NC?

    I am wondering if you guys would rather be in the Yankees position or the Red Sox position? In other words, which team do you think is in better shape to get to the playoffs? For me, it's definitely the Red Sox.

    I'm not talking about the cell phone incident. There were plenty of posters here who called him lazy, a slob, a loser, and said that he didn't care about whether he played well or not because he had a big contract whether he played or sat on the bench, among other things. Based off of what we've seen and heard this year, those things to do appear to be true.

    You have no idea what kind of character Pablo or any of the players have. Making assumptions about their characters based off of impression is unfair.

    I get all that. I just think that perhaps in a really close game, if a reliever like Kelly looks that dominant, let him come out for another inning. I realize he may not be available for the next game, but we'll worry about that when the time comes. Your point about who's coming up in the rotation is a valid one.

    I haven't had any issues with Price's attitude. I think he should stay off of Twitter because he does seem to let that stuff get to him, but as far as being a great teammate and owning up to his performance, he is all right in my book.

    Fairfax, VA is a boring place. The highlight of my day is being able to sit down and watch the Sox. Of course, outside of my family, that's the highlight of most of my days.

    The Twins are 4 games over .500 with a -41 run differential. That's insane. Not saying that they're going to be easy to beat the remaining games, but they've been a tad lucky.

    We won against Minnesota's very good ace last night. The next 3 pitchers they're throwing at us are very 'blah'. We should be able to win at least 2 of the next 3. Go Sox!!!

    If I'm not mistaken, Farrell did say that Kelly was now the predominant 8th inning guy, but that he would not use Kelly two days in a row. I don't know the reason for that.

    Does Sheen need money or something? If not, as a baseball fan, I would keep them. Pass them on to the kids and grandkids.

    There is also a maturity level that I think a player needs to have. It's not necessarily related to age.

    At the very least, he may be better than what we have now. It's worth the look, IMO.

    I had the same concerns about bringing Beni and Moncada up as well. In Beni's case, I was very happy to be wrong. I think we have to trust the judgment of the coaches and FO to know whether Devers is ready or not, and to call him up at the right time. And the point about using up an option year if the player is not ready is a valid one.

    Criticize the play all you want. That is warranted. Criticizing the attitude and the character of the player is not.

    I didn't say he proved his critics wrong in terms of play. He has in terms of attitude.

    Of course they have. They're not doing it this year, but last year pretty much everyone did.
