  1. Haha! Never a truer word! Even on this team they see the bad. Incredible.
  2. Extend his contract for another 7 years!!
  3. BOOM! Two down! Thrilled for Price.
  4. I had just said to my girlfriend a second before the commentator uttered a similar line "I love watching Nunez bat, he loves to try and hit a bad ball" then...
  5. I'm not sure, but that sounds like a great shout. Pretty amazing stat.
  6. Yup I was actually questioning as it happened as Devers was looking good at the plate and then BOOM, game over.
  7. Every decision this guy makes pays off. There's the old saying 'I'd rather a lucky manager than a good one' - luckily we have both.
  8. Surely you can see the reason it might be considered for three games now?
  9. He's not coming here. It doesn't make sense financially for a start. We aren't going to the money or length of years he's going to get. It actually made more sense if we could get him for a reasonable price as a rental.
  10. I think there's zero chance he's on the Red Sox next year. A brilliant talent. A wanker of a human being.
  11. I still think it's a crazy idea. He's the best RF in MLB and there's more chance of a bad injury at 2nd base. There's no reason to move him long term. But for 3 games to get JD's bat in there? Sure.
  12. I'd be tempted to play Betts at 2nd. He played there when I watched them play the Yanks. He didn't look out of place at all. Otherwise it's likely to be JBJ for two, Beni for one.
  13. DD''s moves have been bang on this season. Kinsler was a solid pick up. Pearce and Evoaldi have been brilliant pick ups. Go the Midas touch this year. I've also got a MAJOR man-crush on Brasier.
  14. His price has gone up big time, but I'd love him back. I really like the kid.
  15. Let's hope Monchada posts a video of him hitting Pedroia 4 times!
  16. World Series baby!!! So happy for Price!
  17. Yeah Price was immense. Bringing in Kimbrel is... a...well...an interesting decision.
  18. So far, so very good.
  19. Sure, that's why I said 'mainly through luck'.
  20. I never underestimate the stupidity of people's emotions when it comes to sport. Nothing might happen. Or they might have 4 mules pull his body apart on the pitching mound. It's a toss up.
  21. The weird thing about Kimbrel is that he keeps getting himself into trouble, but he keeps getting back out of it too. Mainly through luck it has to be said, but I'll take a lucky pitcher over a good one at this time of year. I think he will keep his closing spot for what its worth and we could really, really, do with the being able to offer him the QQ without him accepting.
  22. Exactly, these things are only really important talking points if they happen in the last inning or two where there's little time for the game to be altered.
  23. I think it's one of those things that can just come down to who your team is. It was't obvious that he jumped past the mark, but his arm was bent behind him and he was jumping backwards. I've changed my mind over and over on it. That said, it doesn't matter. They had another 8 innings to score the runs needed and it wasn't that moments fault they kept shipping us runs. We won. We deserve it.
  24. I thought it was out at first, but the more I see it the more I'm convinced it should have been a homer. Serves them right for cheating. I think Cora gambled everything on the win tonight. Anything tomorrow will be a bonus. Especially against Verlander.
