  1. Tejada's looked like s***. He's misplayed a few balls and he got picked off of second base in a one run game with his team down by one run. Harvey's managed to pitch around it though.
  2. Gardner did it again. For the second night in a row, he robbed an extra base hit to preserve the lead. Looked like the same swing Murphy made last night, the ball went to the same part of the park, the only difference was the catch was made just short of the wall.
  3. On the off-chance anyone here cares to discuss baseball, Jackie Bradley Jr. was just called up and Alex Wilson was sent down.

  6. I think it was a straight steal, Ellsbury just struck out.
  7. Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that they're facing Cliff Lee.
  8. Is Dempster pitching better or are the Phillies just bad at hitting? Three walks through six.
  9. Dempster locked in a pitching duel with Cliff Lee. This is the most suspenseful horror movie I've ever seen.
  10. 45 pitches through three innings, 53% strikes. You have a point.
  11. If this was 2008, fans would be complaining about how we were being shut down by a no-name, soft-tossing, lefty.
  12. Not so sure... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/dusty-baker-nhl-style-fighting-resolve-mlb-conflicts-171111220.html
  13. Dusty Baker is apparently calling for NHL style fights during baseball games.
  14. Jerry Remy (RemDawg) ‏@Jerry_Remy 8h I'll not be working today or going to Philly-my annual allergies are killing me-going to doc today-have no fear-that's all that it is-Jerry
  15. He's fine, he said he's out due to allergies.
  16. Because the only thing he's been good for this year is getting on base. He's second on the team in OBP against lefties so he's put at the top of the order, where he belongs.
  17. Here's a really good "consensus" mock draft, using the results from multiple recent, reputable mocks. http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2013/5/28/4372526/mlb-2013-draft-consensus-mock-draft-list They have the Red Sox taking Frazier and the Yankees taking Denney, Kaminskey and Peterson. Seems reasonable.
  18. Keith Law updated his list of the top 25 MLB prospects. He ranked Bogaerts at three and Cecchini at 23rd. He said Bogaerts will more likely than not stick as a shortstop. Says the following on Cecchini,

  20. Bradley also had two outfield assists yesterday. If his power is real, he's a five tool player.
  21. This was a great play. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/index.jsp?gid=2013_05_27_nyamlb_nynmlb_1&mode=video&content_id=27508477&tcid=vpp_copy_27508477 The Mets should make a serious run at Phil Hughes this offseason. Citi Field is the perfect place for a fly ball pitcher with home run issues.
  22. I'm loving this. I've been rooting for both Western Conference games to go the full seven so they don't get any rest. Now that they have, I'm hoping Detroit and San Jose advance because I think they'd be easier matchups for the Bruins if they manage to win the Eastern Conference Final. I'd settle for just Chicago losing, since they've been the best team in the Western Conference all year.
