  1. It must be disappointing for a team as great as the Yankees to only be up a game on a team that's going to be at .500 by the All-Star break.
  2. It's officially over. Always fun to beat New York teams.
  3. Oops, you're right. We'll see what happens, the Bruins have beat skill teams before.
  4. Fourth line sinks the final dagger. On to round two!
  5. Krug was breaking AHL records for a rookie defenseman, now he's breaking NHL ones. First defenseman to score four goals in his first five games in the playoffs.
  6. I'm obviously rooting for the Rays here, but I wouldn't mind if this game goes 15.
  7. Why do you try to steal there? If you get the base, Cano's going to get walked. If you're caught stealing, you take the bat out of your best hitter's hands and he may not get another chance.
  8. Bruins fourth line is beating the Rangers again. One more period to go!
  9. Not at all surprising given how bad a pitcher Rodney is. Nice of Gardner to spot the Rays the third out.
  10. How rational of you.
  11. Nice tag! Rays up two runs now, still no one out.
  12. NBC Sports network.
  13. Nice of the Yankees to allow the go-ahead run during the Bruins intermission so I could see it.
  14. Dorsett went after another one of our small guys and Thornton just kicked the s*** out of him. Long time coming.
  15. I love the result, but I hate how those are considered earned runs for a pitcher because their defense was so bad they didn't even touch the ball.
  16. I love these close games, I love them more when we're winning.
  17. Gomes hardly ever hits the ball on the ground.
  18. Solid, fundamental baseball. Good job Gomes.
  19. I'd rather have Gomes against a righty than Carp against Rich Hill.
  20. Took the words out of my mouth.
  21. I'd be surprised if the coaches aren't also seeing this. It's really easy to see mechanical mistakes, it's a lot more difficult to fix them. And the more a player practices poor mechanics, the more the poor mechanics are committed to muscle memory.
  22. Here's a screenshot from another at bat where the pitch is clearly outside and he opened up his hips way too early. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f135/organizedfamine/ellsbury3.jpg
  23. I didn't mean that in an insulting way. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  24. I took those screen caps myself from live games. The pitch where his hips were flying open were on a high and outside pitch, which he grounded back to the pitcher, just like his last at bat.
  25. Iglesias should stay with the team when Middlebrooks comes back. Unlike Ciriaco, at least he can play defense. I know the common response is that he needs at bats to develop his bat, but he has over 900 at bats at AAA and this is his last option year. At some point before next year we need to make a decision on whether he's good enough for a major league roster spot.
