    Yeah, thats why I used July 1. There is a point where they would have to look at that. Not after six games, obviously. I say we would need to consider our options by then, July 1

    So with the way Hembree is pitching, when Kelly and Smith return, where does Hembree fit in? I think he has earned a spot with the ML team. Who goes? Ross? Layne? I suspect Kelly will end up in the pen given the way Wright has been throwing.

    Atlanta is dead last in OPS (.593) and in 11th in ERA (4.72) in the NL. They have us right where they want us.

    1. The season is three weeks old, give or take 2. In point of fact, Kimbrel was 5 for 5 in his previous save opportunities 3. Its highly likely that both of these guys are going to perform well over the season as a whole I know you are not in panic mode. While its certainly not the start any of us had hoped for, its a lot better than some of the lean year starts. On paper this team has the personnel to play baseball in October. Now all they need to do is keep relatively healthy and perform up to their capablities.

    Long night for the team? And its not like Hanley is exactly tearing it up out there.

    The interview with Ozzie was at least as interesting to watch as watching Henry Owens try to find the plate.

    I think teams have learned to pitch him up in the zone, which is where his hole is. He is not going to be a .900 OPS guy; I expect more like .780 or so. And at least his defensive metrics don't suck. In any event, he has been better than Sandoval would have been.

    The C's are an incredibly gritty team....what a game!

    Nice job by Barnes...he actually had a very good ST. At the very least he throws strikes, even if some of his strikes end up in the bleachers.
