  1. There is not a single team in baseball that is completely healthy. And the majority of our injuries have been to position players this year. Lackey and DiceK, whatever value you assign them, were hurt last year and were not part of this year's starting team. Fortunately, our starting five have remained fairly healthy. Their health is the key to any success our team has this year. We all saw what happened last year when we had to use our 7th and 8th SP options excessively. Regardless, injuries should never be used as an excuse for failure. They are part of the game, a part the Red Sox do seem not to play well.
  2. All in all, I would rather be UP two games than DOWN two games. We keep playing like this and we will be IN first place very soon. The Orioles do have a function this weekend: beat the Damn Rays.
  3. A win tomorrow would be gravy. Lets do it.
  4. Always with the bitching from you...
  5. No matter; we are winning. And we are getting out of the cellar.
  6. Gonzo K's on a ball nearly in the dirt.
  7. He does have hair between his toes....
  8. Valentine was the first one to congratulate Punto...so nice to have a manager that is mentally into the game like him. Bet the players really appreciate that kind of support.
  9. Pinto cinches it for the Sox...who'd have thunk it?
  10. Wow. Stupid baserunning by the Jays bails us out. That is going to cost them the game, if it weren't already over.
  11. Sloppy sloppy baseball. No need for that at all.
  12. If we can hold this lead I am going to need to change my tag line
  13. Another very good performance for Doubront. Six and a third, two earned runs. Just gotta throw more strikes and he will be right where he wants to be.
  14. Aviles since May 1: .246/.635 Aviles in April: .291/.865
  15. Aviles is really slacking off. He could use some rest.
  16. Nava is due to put one in the seats or in the gap
  17. Middlebrooks has to learn to hit the ball to the right side more.
  18. OK...leadoff walk. Lets get Sweeney in somehow.
