  1. Aviles is hustling tonite. Good to see.
  2. Pitching continues to be the problem for this team. You just cannot give up five runs one night and at least four more the next night to a team that is 14th in runs scored in the NL. Its just bad pitching.
  3. Get someone up in the pen. Doubront has nothing.
  4. Yeah, saw the replay. Woulda been tough. HR surrendered by Doubront. He does not have much tonite.
  5. We know it was a mistake in judgement that you made. It happens.
  6. Looked like Morrison could have caught that. And Reyes was asleep. I'll take it.
  7. Time for a ROSSLAM here.
  8. Gotta make Gonzalez bunt here, right?
  9. Thats how its done...score runs, shut down the other guys.
  10. Who is Scutaro again? Aviles comes thru. Need a shutdown inning by Doubront now.
  11. More sloppy baseball, this time by Doubront.
  12. Another run on the way here. This s*** is getting really old. We cannot surrender lots of runs to weak hitting teams like the Marlins.
  13. Gonzalez down to .257/.708 This guy is really hurting the team this year. He should sit and sit for a long time.
  14. Starting off behind the eight ball again.
  15. Thats pretty much correct. Despite all the injuries they are overall second in runs scored in the AL for the whole season-despite Crawford and Ellsbury being injured for nearly the whole season. Its lack of pitching that has resulted in our mediocrity so far.
  16. If this guy is banned, how does his post remain here for all to nauseate over?
  17. Its unlikely that both Youkilis and WMB are going to remain in the game. One of them had to come out-or Gonzalez comes out, which isn't going to happen unless we are five runs ahead.
  18. Here are the offensive (pun intended) numbers: April: first in runs scored, 5.77 RPG May: fourth in runs scored, 4.86 RPG June: twelvth in runs scored, 4.31 RPG Every single month we are averaging more RPG scored than we are surrendering, at least earned runs. Yet we are still right at .500. This would seem to indicate to me that when we score runs we get tons of them but that there are other times that we can't push across any runs. Thats sure what it looks like when I watch the games.
  19. Valentine didn't want to pull Youkilis because he is under direct orders from the FO to continue "showcasing" him...
  20. I will believe that when I see it. I remember Beckett pitching in the playoffs a few years ago, clearly injured and throwing fastballs under 90 vs the Rays, and all the while telling the media that he is fine, that nothing is wrong.
  21. I give a lot of the credit for how the pen turned out to Valentine and his staff. He was handed a lot of leftovers and career mediocre pitchers and somehow figured out a way to get them to accept roles that many of them had never assumed in their careers. The success of Miller, Atchison, and Padilla are prime examples. There are others.
