The bums who take the field don’t get a vote. They aren’t entitled to be consulted, only informed that they have a new boss.

Don't get me wrong: Cora needed to go too. But it was Breslow that put this dung pile on the field. Cora could not make the dung into gold no matter how good a manager he was. Millar said as much in a comment: Breslow should have been the first to go. And "not the worst" isn't sufficient. They are not competitive and will not make the playoffs. Again. There are no valid excuses for this product being put on the field.

You mean WHEN he gets fired. I think Breslow should have gone FIRST. He is the guy who gave Cora these dregs to work with. There is only so much that Cora could do with the bunch of bums Breslow put on the field. He really has to go too.

OK. Understood. But its 12th, not 11th, in total payroll. We should not be there. I know you agree that Henry should be spending more if he really wants to compete, which at this point, seems insincere at best.

We are 12th in payroll per Spotrac. See the link I provided. If you have a different link that proves are not 12th in payroll by all means post it.

This team is 29th in OPS, 26th in runs, and 27th in BA. There is no fix for this, at least not this year. The sick part is that it was completely predictable. I predicted it, and I am obviously not that smart about baseball data. And it was avoidable.

Sure we can. Henry IS a cheapskate. Right now we are 12th in payroll per Spotrac (https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/) but we are THIRD in team valuation (https://www.forbes.com/sites/justinteitelbaum/2026/03/20/baseballs-most-valuable-teams-2026/) The FLOPS should not be middle third in spending. They should be in the top five teams in spending based on the value of the franchise. Henry is a disgusting liar of an owner. He needs to sell the team. BTW: why is Breslow (and Cora for that matter) still with the team?

Up until now I have said that Breslow SHOULD be fired. I changed my mind. I think he WILL be fired-maybe not now, but certainly at the end of the season. He has failed miserably.

We failed to sign significant talent to improve the team offensively. I knew we would have trouble scoring runs. We had trouble scoring at the end of last year so this was extremely predictable. The talent was out there and available for the right price, but Henry prioritized profit over winning despite his lies to the contrary. Pretty sad that its not even May and the season is effectively over.

And that is why we suck and have not been competitive for many years now and will remain that way for the foreseeable future. We will not win another ring until Henry sells the team.

There is no fix for these bums, not this year anyway. I thought we would finish fourth in the ALE. Now I think that is overly optimistic. We are in last place and I think there is a good chance we will end up there. The only solution to this is to clean house from the owner on down. Henry has to sell the team and everyone now in management has to be fired.

That’s a matter of opinion. I find the NBA to be far more interesting than watching the Flops fail year after year.

The Bruins have a top notch goaltender. That can take them a long ways. They also have a couple of studs on offense and a couple on defense. And they have a few really good prospects about to join the club. Agree with you about their coach and management team-top notch. They are certainly not in a position to compete for the Cup but in a year or two they’ll be there. the FLOPS on the other hand are a disgrace.
