    When you have the resources to spend to make the team a factor in the hunt for a ring-and you are well below average in spending those resources on player salaries, thats being a cheapskate.

    Just a quick unrelated FYI: I have been unable to post with any regularity here because there is some sort of software issue that Brock is going to (hopefully) address over the next few days. I get locked out, depriving everyone here of my "wisdom" (kidding, of course). If I disappear from here that is the reason.

    No. Its not enough because they are still (roughly) 23rd in percentage of revenue spent on salaries. You yourself said you wish he would spend more. In addition, historically, it has not been spent wisely enough, which is a separate issue.

    Trust me: Rodger’s will be our starting 2Bman. Breslow is counting on him to contribute with an OPS well over .800. Besides, he’s someone Henry the Cheap is willing to pay for.

    Maybe. Stranger things have happened than dumping an incompetent GM. Meanwhile, our season is saved! The dumb GM just acquired Brendon “no hit, all K” Rodgers to play the IF! Just the guy we all expected!

    More importantly it would make the Flops contenders. But it’s a pipe dream.

    As you wrote earlier I believe , getting Paredes puts us in the top 5-6 teams and allows us to compete for a ring. But it’s very unlikely.

    In the unlikely event he gets Paredes etc he would get a B. Not an A because he failed to sign top talent with a bat-Alonso or Schwarber. We both know that’s highly unlikely. F

    I’d give Gray a B- and Contreras a B. NOT getting more talent reduces his grade. So does wasting a window to compete for a ring. We aren’t getting the three you mentioned or the deal would already have happened. Breslow might be ok with mediocrity (compared to the other ALE teams) this year but none of us are.

    I won’t argue about 10 points-it’s still an F. Now I don’t want to tell everyone that this is EXACTLY what I predicted would happen after Suarez was signed-but getting bums like IKF and what’s-his-name is exactly what happened. Dumpster diving. Breslow needs to go.

    It’s already out. If some players greatly over perform he gets no credit for that. F=get fired

    Not in my book. Had he signed Ranger AND a talented IF he would get an A. Had he signed someone who is a significant upgrade with the bat based on career numbers and they underperformed he would get credit for trying. He couldn’t even do that. Incompetent. As it stands now the Flops are a 4th place team.

    Breslow needs to be fired. He did only half the job this winter and a grade of “F” is awarded to him for scoring just 50%. We will likely be last in runs scored in the ALE. Another LOOOOONG season approaches.

    I think my post might have been ............facetious. I sincerely hope that the fans boycott the park this year if Breslow gives more LIP SERVICE to obtaining talent.

    I'm certain that Flops fans will be quite satisfied as long as Breslow is "interested" in Paredes, Shaw etc. We don't actually have to obtain any of them.

    His BEHAVIOR was disparaging to his teammates. That’s much more telling than words.

    Devers was irreplaceable? We could have signed a different big bat-Schwarber, Alonso etc. We could have traded for one. Devers was a cancer and wasn’t irreplaceable. But we didn’t replace him. Instead Henry pocketed the money. Disgusting.

    It’s possible we could trade for a significant infield upgrade. I’d put those odds around 20%.

    Devers wasn't 100% responsible for all this-just 98%. Glad he is gone.

    And its just as true now as the last time you heard it and it will be just as true next time you hear it.

    What Devers the Diva did was totally inexcusable. Its a team sport. Players are required to do what is best for the TEAM. He makes over $50,000 per PA. There is ZERO justification for his behavior.

    Yes, Breslow did do a half ass job fixing the roster. Fixed the SP rotation but left the lineup limp. And yes, there is a slight chance that a trade could fix this but after missing out on nearly every single opportunity in the FA market to fix the lineup. He fixed it with two BUMS. So typical, so expected.

    I’ve been writing that this is exactly what would happen here for weeks. Breslow fixed the rotation but as usual did a half ass job with the lineup, signing a couple of bums instead of talented players.. Henry just won’t pay for a competitive team. Kiner—Falefa Mickey Gasper LOL
