  1. Well they signed Ranger Suarez. Good move. I think he could be considered a decent #2. Now they need Bichette.
  2. Not if he succeeds in getting the player signed. That hasn’t happened often enough.
  3. Just read an interview with loser Breslow and almost threw up. If I didn’t expect the litany of excuses I’ve belched I probably would have. ”Anytime you try to sign a player and lose….blah blah blah”
  4. I'll write it again: Henry is a cheap SOB who will not make competitive offers to high end talent. We are going to be stuck with teams that will never compete seriously for a ring as long as he owns the team. Of the 30 teams in MLB the FLOPS ranks 23rd in percentage of revenue invested in salaries for the players, the rest going to the John Henry Family Relief Fund. Yes, there is still time to sign a couple of the high end FAs out there, but there is no reason to believe that will happen. We are going to be stuck with another season barely making the playoffs, if we make them at all.
  5. Actually I got it right most years the Flops won. Your memory must be failing you again. I correctly predicted we would not win a ring 18 of 22 years, an 82% accuracy rate. Thats remarkable. And some of the years they DID win I got right too. Like I said, I am usually spot on.
  6. And as I pointed out two of our competitors in the ALE are outspending us and we haven’t even reached the LE tax threshold yet. It’s obvious that its profits over winning for the owner but hey- Henry’s family has to eat, right? Heres an interesting fact: the Flops rank 23rd in terms of the percent of revenue actually being spent on payroll. They only spend about 42% of the profits on payroll. The rest goes to Henry’s family relief fund. So yeah: Henry is cheap: https://twinstrivia.com/2025/04/05/mlb-teams-revenue-versus-payroll/ The teams that are more consistently competitive are at the top. The less competitive teams are towards the bottom, for the most part. Gosh......I wonder if there is a correlation there somehow.
  7. Why should I stop now? I’m on a roll! I’m usually spot on.
  8. It’s all in good fun. Moon is fine telling me to find a different team. He knows it’s never gonna happen. I don’t take it personally.
  9. Brady is usually wrong but this time he is right. I addressed this in a post above.
  10. Well since the failed to sign any of the better FAs they had to sign Bregman. But they failed at that too. I doubt they do nothing too. There is still more time to dive deeper into the dumpster.
  11. Just checked. You’re right: we are 8th. You know what else? Both the Jays and the Yankees are spending more and the results in the standings reflect that. We aren’t even at the LT threshold. So yeah, Henry is.cheap. He’s not spending enough WISELY to give his team a chance to compete.
  12. Do you honestly think that will happen?
  13. I’d like to see proof of that. Even if it’s true he still is failing to sign quality players that would allow us to be competitive. We will likely be even worse than we were last year as things now stand.
  14. Nah I’ll just stay here and provide my exceptional insight into the many ongoing failures of the Flops franchise. We will never win another ring with the current cheapskate owners in charge. They make me sick.
  15. And now Bregman is off the table. Just signed with the Cubs. This Flops franchise is totally disgusting. They are wasting their window because Henry is a cheap SOB. The fans deserve better.
  16. And in days on the IL.
  17. Likely they couldn't get anyone to do the job because they weren't offering enough money. It usually comes down to that.
  18. So basically Henry is the principal owner. If he and Werner decided to open up the purse and spend what it takes to compete for a ring they are fully capable of doing so. But its not happening.
  19. I realize that its the GMs who choose HOW to spend the little money Henry allows to trickle down to them (obviously its not enough to secure top flight talent). Solution: get a new GM.
  20. Yeah, well, so far all he is signing this year are some pretty dull objects.
  21. Who is the principal owner of the franchise?
  22. Of course he is spending.....some. But not enough, and not wisely. You just can't keep dipping into to rehab dumpster and expect to pull out roses. As for Devers, he did spend a lot. Where is the money he spent on him now? Mostly in his POCKET. But hey-the Henrys have to eat too, right?
  23. I guess we aren’t “sold” on any high quality FAs.
  24. Obviously we don’t spend enough to lure top talent here-and the dumpster diving players we do sign over the past 5-6 years simply aren’t good enough. Our won lost record is proof.
