Being a fan of the game, I have and will continue to support any GM that the owner of the team hires. Historically some do better than others. Assuming that they might operate on their own in any way without the strict guidelines of the boss is ridiculous. Anyone thinking that DD was some sort of maverick who operated without JH budgetary constraints, is a hypocrite if they indeed believe that there is a Red Sox budget. Whatever DD did had to have been done with JH's blessing. Some things worked and some things didn't. The hiring of DD was excellent. Bloom's likely will be as well. have to give him a chance and wait and see. I continue to be amazed by all of the attention a general manager receives here.
