How long has DD been gone? I have not brought his name up at all unless someone here has run their mouths disparaging his work. i truly believe that there are in fact a few people here who get their jollies trying to get a response of anger from people who do not agree with them. that I consider juvenile. That is what I consider to be juvenile - kind of like something one my little 7th graders would have done. Kind of like constantly repeating what someone else says just to bug them. It has been suggested once or twice that if I don't like discussing something with someone that I should put them on ignore. Not going to happen. i'll just keep on keeping on.

not sure that I was much of a ben basher but if someone wants to continue with the juvenile crap that's fine. I've used the expression here on more than one occasion - chumming the waters. I have always been perfecting willing and fine moving forward but hey I think that I'm entitled to my opinion.

It is a reality that DD haters refuse to accept. Plus the fact that beating up on him, let's see by what 2 or 3 people here, has become as popular as the pastime itself. I'm into a new era now and do not feel the need to defend him anymore.

If the the Sox put the "right players" on the field which leads to the seats being filled, then all employees will be happy again.

I agree with you but personally it would not matter who the GM was who did the hiring. i'll support whoever is chosen by whoever does the choosing.

There is no question that what you said is true. What I personally can say though that for me I would never mention his name if it was not constantly revisited over and over by his detractors here on talksox. Oh well, if wasn't DD it would likely be some other already worked over topic such as John Henry's budget. lol

It was fun reading through the last few pages. Eventually a few of you will be able to get beyond your dislike of DD. He isn't with us anymore. Just let it go. By the way, I was a fan of the trade that brought Pomeranz to Boston. It was worth the risk and obviously in hindsight that proves to be true.

Hopefully Bloom gets his opportunity to do his thing but the seats of Fenway won't be filled until some stars start to really shine. Having Sale come back next year at least gives reason to be hopeful of having a chance to see one of the best in the game perform. It is these types of players that many many fans want to see play the game.

I think that it might be time for a clean break. I would be surprised if Bloom brings Cora back. He might still for sure but I get the feeling that he wants to be able to put his own stamp of approval on the next manager. Managers come and go. Whoever Bloon brings in likely won't disappoint.

Outside of the fact that Manny as we all know was one of the all time great right handed hitters, the only place that I have heard any real praise for him with respect to anything else is by the few posters on this web site. Most die hard fans that I talked with had had it with his antics. Mookie Betts on the other hand could possibly have been the face of this franchise for many years. The kind of player certainly that we all would like our kid to grow up to be or in my case grandkid.

I freely admit to be a process guy. I also believe that it is way too early to judge or make any assumptions with respect to bloom at this point. i would say though that personally I could never get on board with the Tampa Bay ways of winning. There is so much more to a complete baseball season and a real team than simply ultimate results. Winning continues to be good though.
