  1. my oh my you youngsters just keep on keepin on!
  2. I didn't crawl in until 1:30 (which is a recent record for me by the way) and when you reach my state of "maturity" sometimes it doesn't matter when you hit the sack you still wake up at the same time - 5:00 max. Slasher can you work some of your magic and speed this game up a bit tonight?
  3. Thankfully for you it is your belly button that is doing the puckering.
  4. Thanks for this - it was getting sickening.
  5. i'm loving me some brasier right now just like everybody else but I have a question - Is he ok or is he just naturally cockeyed? As peculiar as Kimbrel looks when he is taking signs, he's got nothing on Brasier.
  6. I think that New England fans are nervous by nature and then you add in the Kimbrel drama and anything goes I guess. I look at this differently. This is a different team with some significantly different people. I'll admit that yes I get a little nervous but I can't help thinking what it must feel like to be an Astros fan right about now. I expect our guys to win. I am not surprised by this at all. As a matter of fact although maybe it seems unlikely, I would not really be surprised if things get wrapped up tonight. We are seeing something special here. The Red Sox are winning more often than everyone else because they are better than everyone else. Yes I do think think they are better than the Astros.
  7. I agree with the assessment that you agree with. West obviously saw interference. I'm guessing that that is what caused him to make the immediate call. He certainly was in no position to definitively tell without replay that the fan broke the plane. In his best judgement, betts makes the play if no interference is called. On a play like that, is there anyone who is that good that they could tell precisely where the fan's arms were located. Like it or not, his job is to make a call not to wait a while and think about it. Mookie was not allowed to complete the play due to interference. It was the right call. It was the job of the replay to determine who was where when the play occurred. Kind of obvious that it was really too close to call on that one.
  8. it was clearly interfered with - looks to me like the only question was did Mookie break the plane? I saw no angle that could verify that he did. I think that West had to make that call. what else could he have done just ignore it? The reason that call doesn't get made very often is because it doesn't happen very often. Tough to be the fan!
  9. A special special play. No quit! great team
  10. Barnes n the hill tomorrow - lets go
  11. I'm just not getting the move. Don't they have to play tomorrow? if this works, i still won't get it.
  12. more runs needed - more more more
  13. Imagine me sitting here thinking that maybe somebody in that dugout might have tried to cushion Pearce's fall.
  14. more runs needed
  15. JBJ - You have got to be kidding. I think he saved himself for right now!
  16. hmm - kind of what I thought you would say. You are right about one thing - it doesn't matter.
  17. Did you see the video posted by greenwell?
  18. Hey i'm wondering if the astros fans are feeling right now the way I felt this morning when I saw Pearce's ball hit the left filed wall last night. LOLLOLLOL
  19. Hey look I know how you feel about the last word here Hitch and I have given you plenty of positive credit from time to time so having you disagree with me is really no big deal. There have been a number of posters here who have seen the same video that I have seen and it seems fairly clear to them that that might have been a blown call. It is possible. If you think that there is no doubt that you are right - ok. You can be the winner in a little debate that really means nothing.
  20. It almost certainly was. I 'm not really sure how anyone can see the replays that I saw and surmise that there is a possibility that it wasn't. back at you - to each his own.
  21. when the big man takes a 3 and 1 pitch like JD did it makes me concerned. swing the bats.
  22. I agree with you entirely and I think that given the moment in which it happened the call was the right one to make. Max has said that I am imagining that the ball hit the wall first. I do have a good imagination.
  23. You see this is ok for me. "I can't be certain. One angle is not conclusive." That to me says that you in fact accept the fact that you might be wrong on occasion. "I'm pretty sure it was a catch" - that is good. I'm not certain that it wasn't. there have been a number of people who have now posted on this topic and almost all of them have said that oh ya there is a chance that they got it wrong. I don't always agree with those people but I do respect them and their opinions. Now I fully understand that I am hanging on to the topic way too long but there is a point here to be made and it is all about respect for our fellow posters. I'm guilty of saying the wrong things from time to time but I can honestly say that the people I don't seem to have any connection with are the ones who think that they are always right. I will let this go now but I have a newsflash for those folks - You are the ones who are wrong.
  24. I'm imagining what I am seeing? A little out of character for me. I don't care what you or moon or anyone else happens to think about this one. I am absolutely positive of what I have seen and anyone who thinks that there is no doubt that they got this one right is wrong. Some folks here just amaze me at how often they think they are right.
  25. thanks i'm feeling better right now. I'm pretty sure that it isn't real conclusive but it does look possible that it was not a catch. The sound really bugged me.
