That's the MLB minimum wage. Minor leaguers are professionals too.

Confusing post. There are 5 teams in the AL East, and as iortiz says, in 2018 3 of them won 90 and 2 of those won 100. -
The first month of Mookie's 12 year extension was very meh by his standards. He didn't play again last night, and has only started 19 of the team's 27 games. Let's see how May goes.

And the Yanks are only 4-3 against the Orioles. I think Jax said at the start of the season that's a team you're supposed to stomp into the dust every time out.

I don't know, maybe it was time for someone to stand up and say that rookie hazing was stupid s**t.

Hard to say, but getting Verdugo and Downs for 1 year of Mookie, with the Dodgers paying him $27 million, was a damn good return. Not sure how Bloom was supposed to do any better than that.

Have to repeat this then: Mookie said he gave serious consideration to the earlier extension offer for 8/$200.

It's a two-way street though. Mookie always seemed very content to go to free agency and play hardball.

The one thing we do know is that wasn't the case.

One thing I admire on Mookie's part is that he hasn't said anything about how he was willing to negotiate and couldn't understand why the Red Sox wouldn't, or that type of thing. He said they didn't owe him anything and he didn't owe them anything.

When it's all said and done, it could turn out to be 100% the right move. Or not.
