    Yeah, I hate to say it but my faith in Cora is starting to slip. At some point playing bad baseball has to reflect on the manager to some degree.

    MLB leaders in team (offense) strikeouts: 1 Boston 2 Colorado MLB leaders in team errors: 1 Boston 2 Colorado Colorado has played 2 fewer games so they will likely take over the strikeout lead at some point.

    It can be a mystifying game. We scored 36 runs in 3 against the Cards and have scored 4 in 3 against the Jays.

    What I really think is that we need a better way to measure an offense's performance, one that looks at it on a game by game basis.

    Not recently. I've certainly said I hated the Dillon Lawson hiring.

    The problem is a lot of the good stats have been generated by 2 games in which they scored 31 runs. In 7 of 13 games they've scored 3 runs or less.

    Any way you look at it, it seems like there are serious problems with how our offense goes about its business. We can explode for double figures, but we've also already had 2 3 game stretches in which we scored a total of 6 runs or less. The Jays pitching has made us look hapless for 3 games. The Dodgers and Yankees have been whiffing about as much as us, but they also have 28 and 26 long balls. We have 11.

    Yeah, I know there's much sense in what you're saying. I'm just appalled at how this team has suddenly come to be so K-happy.

    Sox lead the majors in Ks now. Fatse and Lawson must go!

    We're Number One! In Ks now. The front office has to see that our offensive approach is horrible.

    What the Sox have seems to be the old "feast or famine" offense.

    I actually think the minimum QS line means more now than it once did, because with the average start being less than 6 innings, 6 innings and 3 runs is a bullpen saver over the long haul.
