    Let's look at Garcia's AAA numbers. 55.2 IP 52 hits 32 BB 5 HBP 1.51 WHIP 10 HR Pretty terrible.

    Garcia has a 5.34 ERA in AAA, and 5.27 in MLB. Smallish samples, but still, not very impressive.

    Renfroe has really been stepping up his game. Looks like another nice move by Bloom.

    Mookie went 0 for 6 last night. His BA fell to .240. He's out of the lineup today. Some concerning signs.

    The Yankees' one-time stockpile of pitching talent seems to be gone.

    As far as the guys at the top regressing, JD, Bogaerts, Devers and Verdugo are such good hitters that they may not regress that much. As always, just hope everyone stays healthy.

    Cordero has been replaced. Marwin has the versatility and his offense is a little better than this. Renfroe has been better lately. Dalbec is the guy in danger of losing at-bats, but wouldn't want to give up on him yet. I don't see any need to be looking outside the organization for anything at this point.

    If you go to roboplayers, the next logical step is robofans.

    We lead MLB in runs per game now. So whatever issues we have on offense, other teams have even bigger issues. I'm much more concerned about maintaining our pitching.

    No, they aren't. Although their pitching is probably good enough to still get them to 90+ wins. The next big deal for them is how Garcia does in place of Kluber.

    There was a guy on the BDC forum whose sig line read 'I blame Francona for this win!' I really liked that guy...

    It's puzzling. 16 teams have reached the threshold and 3 more will reach it in 2 weeks. So the Red Sox are one of 11 teams who will still be short.

    But he might have been high on Downs in spite of that.

    On Gameday that pitch showed as a borderliner, the kind that often gets called a strike, but not a no-doubter, not an egregiously bad call.
