Let's not get too excited about the 2021 results though. The Pythagorean record was 88-74. They were very fortunate to win 92 and incredibly fortunate to make the playoffs. This year seems like a year to go for it a bit, with Bogey, JDM, Kike, Vaz and Eovaldi all potentially gone after the year.

Are the Red Sox really making a serious bid for Freeman? Or is this about as real as the rumor that we were going after Scherzer at the deadline last year? Feeling a little skeptical here. Of course, it doesn't help that the Dodgers are the reported front-runner for Freeman.

I was aware he was traded. But it was a surprise that he signed a deal that big that fast. I kind of did a double-take when I saw it.

You really are getting kind of worked up over nothing. You said Matt Olson to Braves, 8 for $168. For someone who's not totally up to speed that certainly made it sound like a free agent signing.

He's meeting with a bunch of teams supposedly. He worked out with the Padres. Last we heard his preference is a West Coast team.
